Best AFL moment between player and spectator in 2006

Post by Grim Reaper »

There are numerous moments in 2006 that I have enjoyed.

I would have to say the Port Adelaide Warrior Dean Brogan being stalked by the Adelaide Cow supporter at Adelaide Airport and then getting his just desserts ranks highly for me.

To see this Cow supporter then seeking pity for what the Warrior did was pure magic!

Nothing tops Mickey O and the West Coast cheer squad last Saturday night for a hilarious interaction between player and fans.

It was in The Advertiser here as a main image so it got a lot of exposure by the looks of it.

That would have to be mine of this year aswell.

How's the vein in that blokes neck. Classic.

The images and an interview with the cheersquad members made a two page spread in the Daily Telegraph in Sydney too.

I have to agree with that one...a pure classic and great PR for AFL. The E-Girl supporters did not know what hit them!

Not good for their sponsors I wouldn't think.

"QBE - come on in for a quote on insurance and a verbal tirade second to none!"

Doesn't quite sit well with their image I wouldn't have thought.

Disgraceful behaviour with no justification. If you're going to let fans upset you to that degree, the code doesn't need you.

In fact, O'Loughlin is but a second rate full forward who has never really lived up to his promise in the game - so his conduct is clearly "in character."
