Ahhh :?> where did I compare the two comments in your first sentence Xman ya dumb git???? I said ''often used in line with''

Read the post and make a decent contribution for a change modbitch

The reason racism rears its ugly head time and time again is because dumb people focus on a race as having certain ''problems'' i.e. ''they're laidback and unprepared for AFL life''. This generalisation is a very damaging one xman, if you cant see this then you're a lost cause. But I think you do because I notice you seem to be learning and that you've now used the term remote communities compared with cities in terms of lifestyle rather than race. 10 points to you xman. :thumbleft:
I don't care if you compared them or not. Rendell never said anything like that.

Saying someone has a laid back lifestyle or outlook is not an insult in any way. In fact compared to the uptight demeanor many demonstrate in city life it's probably a complement. But changing from one to the other can be a challenge, especially when you throw media attention and the pressures of elite professional sport in. Rendells heart was in the right place and he was poorly treated in my opinion. Compare his comment to an NRL SOO coach if you want to see real racism.

Shit. I take back the 10 points.

Rendell said exactly what I quoted you silly silly confused buffoon. You then incorrectly stated I compared that with other comments when I was stating that the sort of discriminatory remarks made by Rendell have and continue to lead to disgusting policy.

and then you follow up your first fuckup with
Saying someone has a laid back lifestyle or outlook is not an insult in any way
FFS Rendell didn't say ''someone'' has a laid back lifestyle and lets not forget ''are not prepared for AFL life''. He suggested all Aboriginal people from remote communities were of this type. Massive diff xman, massive difference so don't go trying to water shit down like this [-X and again ill say if you don't get it then you're not worth it.

I don't give two hoots if his heart is in the right place. This is the exact same argument the gits who made the stolen gens policy used xmaN. The term these ''heart in the right place'' wankers used to excuse the stealing of children was that it was 'softening the pillow of a dying race'...all because they believed Aboriginal people were not going to survive 'Australian life'. Add to that the disgraceful yet cough ''heart in the right place'' protection and assimilation policies...

Heart in right place doesn't excuse racism and ignorance Xman. Time you learnt what racism in Australia is before you go posting anymore on this matter.

Rubbish. Rendells comments were in no way insulting, merely a different perspective and lifestyle. You're the one assuming it was an insult

So are you for assuming laid back is an insult. I've got mates who I'd consider laid back. Good luck to them, they tend to manage stressful situations better than most

I think if you attribute an attribute to a group of all people then it is stereotyping ... I.e, all black people have rhythm, all Jews are good with money etc

So. What was eddies punishment from the AFL after his crocodile tear filled apology to adam goodes?

A three hour cultural competence course wasn't it?

The tick box approach, no one does it better than the AFL ;)
