PNG..BID...just admitted to Q cup..NRL long way off with the infrastructure & security problems ,but they have a team in an AU comp ..

Central QLD ..BID..
Central Coast ..Bid.
Perth ..bid...with interest by a private consortium.

if only, & watch the small crowds that the NRL attracts fall even more.
a team out of perth would be interesting, as the only way a NRL clun can survice is buy having a gigantic leagues club filled to the rafters with pokes! as the rugby club never makes a cent!

meanwhile the VFL's will drop below 30K by 2017 , & the numbers in NSW & QLD will be the stuff of a horror story

the VFL is stale
so dreadfully stale it just has nothing going for it

AFL crowd will only grow, the average only dropped due to the new expansion teams, at least 22 games played in expansion areas GWS & on the Gold coast. the teams have been filled with kids & will only improve & the crowds will only grow.they are already roughly the equivalent of the NRL teams based in the same areas

well the NRL crowd hasn't gone any where in over 10 years so keep living in hope.
SOO gets crowds, but that's because its State vs state gimmick
the Rugby 9s are getting crowds over in NZ but that's because there where 24 games played on the sat & 7 on the sunday >

You can't truly compare seasons with different number of games and new teams. The only relevant comparison is like for like, and the AFL rose in ALL areas. Unlike the NRL which dropped in ratings and crowds...
