What was touch football a few years back. Union could claim it is a non contact for of union ? I don't by it ... If it wasn't rl two years ago I can't see how it can be rl now
Touch football and Oztag are based around League rules not union(ie 6 tackle rule)

I thought Dave didn't bet with AFL supporters ? He has said that over and over to avoid having to bet on the many claims he has made. Now he has the hide to call others out for not betting.

Still no comment on the nrl press release outlining that touch and rl are two different sports ? Like where it says "the two sports" etc.

well its certainly an assumption
theres no way in hell soccer gets close to either RL or the fumbles & bumbles overall .... each codes dominance in their heartland states has them 1 & 2 nationally
& daylight is 3rd

the question is who's numb 1
RL is simply because it has an extra 2 million odd people in its heartland & a few more singlet clad tools screaming baaawwwwwwwwlllllll..... at the GGGGGGGGG..... don't count for a hill of beans in reality

You're wrong, Dave, and it's why I get POed at the AFL trying to target thugby when it should be targetting soccer! I haven't checked the other states but I do know that in Victoria the State League in soccer is huge, and that in Tasmania some private schools have opted for soccer over football (and AFL Tasmania is doing NOTHING about it!!). I think I also saw a sports results page that showed the New South Wales state league in soccer is about as big as it is in Victoria.

I'd be interested to hear from others on that from other states.

I think it's about time some research was done outside all the previous parameters for all sports. Thorough analysis.

& again this ********* & the point are in different post codes

you are again using participation numbers as proof of popularity
they are not
if a sport is easy to play & you won't get hurt .... people will play it to stay fit

but when they go home to watch their fav sports even these soccer players they watch RL north of the murray .... & the fumbles & bumbles .. south of it

theres 3 sports in this nation that matter to the populous & the TV broadcasters that pay hundreds of millions to show them

Cricket
RL
& the Fumbles & Bumbles ... although I can't see why ? :?>

No players.....no game.

That's why playing numbers are important, Dave. That's the real world, not your fantasy world.
