First, the decision to ban three teams in Brisbane was right. Even El agreed, and it was actually contrary to his view. This was a case of the biffo going way overboard and proves that children can't be allowed to do it. That brawl showed a lack of control. The Junior RL showed the foresight to lay it out plainly. Kids, don't copy the adults!

That's the real issue here. Let the adults go because it'll never get that bad (to the point that teams get banned). They know when to stop. Children don't. That's the complexity you don't get, X!

Striker this wasnt contrary to my view. It was however contrary to the view Xman is trying to persuade himself and others that I have. I am not for violence and biffo willy nilly and over the top, as I've explained umpteen times before in this thread.

I agree with your other points except your "Kid's, dont copy adults!" command. Do you really think the kids are consciously thinking 'Ima gunna copy big Gordy Tallis' when they get in a blue? This isnt whats going on at all imo. But yes the sanctions must be there when things get out of control. In RL they're there and working quite well, as you point out.

That's BS KE, if he did that on the street he would be facing court - they wern't in a ring boxing, they were on a football field and it was unprovoked - it's not standing up for your self it was a pre-meditated attack and tells people that its ok when your being out played by your opponent its ok to resort to violence rather than play better and try harder. Fairly obvious anything to do with decency or sportsmanship is foreign to you Raiderdave - the law is the law unless you can show me otherwise - was it not you going to great lengths to point out that people had broken the law (peadophiles using AF to get close to kids). It seems we have a hypocrite here folks - a lot of double standards only wants to show ONE sport in a bad light but can't accept responsibility when there's something wrong with his sport! Barry Hall got 7 weeks and was told by the Swans never again - when he did it again he was told there's the door - in NSW you'd throw him a parade! Barry Hall was THREATENED with court by Staker - who decided against it as he felt he had been punished - NRL treats violence as a joke. As for Barry Hall now well thats for FOX to decide you know the same people who show NRL - thats a reflection on them not the AFL. Barry Hall still comes out and says he regrets what he did - he at least shows some remorse, Gallen shows none in fact he brags about it - disgraceful! You supporting violence just shows what sort of person you are KE - very sad indeed!
