So why jump on here and point to negatives all the time. Can't people still like AFL regardless . There are So many positives to the game why pick it to bits . We had a cracker if a weekend if football and it was good to see. We saw several upsets and close games. But why do you get kicks out if trying to put down AFL to those who like it? It's a little weird to constantly do it over and over again. You don't like AFL ... Okay , fine... Let those who do enjoy it. Do you think saying negative things all the time , finding the negatives all the time makes for a better life. Surely not. With so much that AFL has to offer you spend your time desperately trying to find what is wrong. And when you get people rebuking you you say it is fun and you laugh . Really , don't you think it is a bit sad? Are you lonely ?

Phelpsy can we call you doctor phil from now on?

Of course people can still like the AFL regardless of the organisation's many downfalls. I'm simply pointing out the poor work the AFL as an org does. Why? Because I am horribly shocked by the level of ignorance **** the majority of the AFL organisation's fans on this website, horribly shocked. So what I'm doing is a community service, teaching the one eyed, delusional, spoon fed ignorant **** us that no, the AFL is not that superb an org and they need to pull their socks up on a number of issues.

The fact all of you peanuts have not acknowledged the comp is lopsided to billio (no need to get all sensitive, this doesnt mean there's no good games each week), the fact not one has acknowledged this shows there is plenty of work for me to do in educating.

I'm... I guess... the unsung hero of the TF community...I teach those with little knowledge what is true and correct with no need for recognition. I'm a helper. And I do this work day in day out, helping you folk learn. :)

I've seen the NRL folk, on the other hand, acknowledge the deficits of their code and the organisation running it. They've done this openly. Hence my correct choice to learn the AFL supporters...and learn them good. We all must be objective in our outlook and I'm afraid the AFL folk in here are yet to learn this principle.

ps I enjoy watching and playing marngrook, please dont assume I'm not a fan. :)

Yes and lets not forget beaussie, the bias administrator of this site, who favours and promotes AFL supporters and spouts negative drool about the NRL whenever he can.

Seriously Phelpsy, get some perspective, and Dave is right and we should acknowledge this as so. Now shout out after me pete and phelpsy, "dave is right!" :thumbleft:

Brisbane? The team who after 8 rounds of footy have just three wins, two of them against basketcase leaguers and one against an essendon squad likely on the slide?

Yeah, they're real good those guys
Essendon on the slide? They had only lost to the top side before the match against Essendon you moron. And the Lions played wonderfully and caused a massive upset. Wow, just wow. =D>

When have ever said anything positive about AF? You and King do not constructively criticise all you do is bag the sport! You post threads to deliberately attack the sport with no personal knowledge - so what the AFL have moved into western syd - so what if it works or not - so what they will spend a lot of money - how does that effect RL. I have played RL, RU, soccer and AF. Me liking AF doesn't mean RL is bad. But thats the attitude you take - you continually tell us of RL influence nationally and deny that AF has one itself. Typical Syd attitude if your not part of the herd than attack - you act like a bunch of clones, but when someone gives you a taste of your own medicine you whinge and insult! Thank god I got out of that narrow minded place! In Melb we hear nothing but support and praise for the Storm (even on SEN an AFL owned radio station - if you don't believe me down load their app and listen!). In Syd when you should be proud of the success of the local team again you attack and criticise in some delusional belief that it will make the code of RL stronger! Thats why AF posters can't stomach anything you blokes have to say because there is no balance!

Sheezus swines, dont  man.

Sydney often praises the sport of marngrook, often. We gave the swans a tickertape parade for crying out loud. Our media, including the Footy Show, often includes positive stories on marngrook you silly clown.

Your emotional rant is not objective nor accurate swines.

I'll say it again, RL supporters in here have shown humility and grace in their acknowledgement of their own codes/the NRL's weaknesses. AFL supporters have never shown such, and therefore they must be taught. Now learn your lessons off of us! [-X

You don't know the meaning of the word humility or grace, I have never seen you say a bad word about the NRL - you post threads about drugs in the AFL but conveniently leave out the NRL you crap on about racism in the AFL but don't mention it in the NRL, you attacked ANZAC day game coll v ess for not including NZ - you tell us no one in Sydney or NSW has any interest in AFL, should I go on? The point is you get on ur soap box preaching to us and expect us to take you seriously - we don't! It is well known News Ltd bashes anything AFL because of its involvement with NRL, the then ARL publicly said that any player or club assisting the Swans would be run out of the game etc etc etc. The Storm in Melb has never had to face such heavy handed and down right mean attacks by the AFL. In fact they have recieved nothing but support and praise! Again you show the only too clear Sydney attitude of smash, attack and destroy! I actually like NRL, after Norths were destroyed by Manly I follow the Storm and go to their games on occasion - but I don't have it in for them. You and Raiderdave do have it in for the Swans, GWS and the AFL - which I find disgraceful. That is both accurate and objective!

I've said plenty bad about the nrl swines ya big sook. You've only supposedly been on this site for a month. And I barrack for the swans you silly man!

Now on a more positive note I'd like to congratulate perennial basketcase leaguer, the Western Bulldogs, on just pipping a very poor stkilda outfit at the post this weekend! =D>

Its one of those very very rare occasions folks, like a miracle :) ... unless the match was part of a betting scandal, which I wouldn't be surprised.

This miracle keeps happening just about every week. Looking forward to the stack load that will happen next year too.

3 miracles in a total 28 matches pies me boy. I wouldn't suggest that's a regular occurrence. Our basketcase leaguers are winning against non-basketcase leaguers a mere 10% of the time. There's your distinction, right there. ;)

But lets not be too negative. The basketcase league is doing better than last season, and good for them!
