Wow. Did anyone watch any of the basketcase league games this weekend?

Who was it who said Brisbane had improved? Pies, was that you? Xman? You? All of you bitches should be putting your hands up, guilty as charged by your King...-Eliagh

And whaaaaattaaaa bout those western bulldogs mustering up 28 points in 100 mins + of footy? Shiiiiiiiiiiit!

Did anyone see these matches? Please provide a report if so.

I was happy to see the demons give the tweens a good solid thrashing

But seriously though folks. It's time to own up and admit the AFL has a serious problem. I've seen plenty of options provided in this thread, most from league fans. AFL fellas, get serious and provide us some options to send to demetriou and co down at AFL HQ. Seriously, its quite the farce at the moment.

Lucky there was no nRL games this week so there wasn't any scores of 0 for us to laugh at.

the level of mediocrity in the VFL seems to have grown .. if thats possible :-k from last year

the Midgets are beyond ... simply beyond bad
the Thuns ... not much better ... theres just nothing there
the Demons .. well , jeez 8-[ ...... the less said the better
the Bullfrogs .... gawd help us
the Wions ..... :-k ....F me , they are actually worse then 2012
St Kiddiefiddle ..... welcome to the basketcase league lads , how proud you must be

theres your league to date
I anticipate St Bangaminor may eventually get their shit together enough to maybe scrape outta this cespool of average & Port Shatmedaks to join these teams wallowing in ineptitude ... as they haven't palyed anyone of any note as yet & their 4-0 record so far in 2013 is quite distorted

its exactly as we leaguies tipped
its as boring & predictable as 2012.... but probably ... more lopsided then last years most lop sided year EVER.. 8-[

Just one team without a win after round 4 with 3 winless teams in carlton, nth and melbourne getting a win. GWS were in front by a long way going into the last term before melbourne played one of its best quarters in a long time. Some good matches comming up next week as well.

Only the Midgets could blow a lead of 19 going into the final quarter....& lose by 43 .. to a team that was congratulated for losing by only 94 the week before

hmmmm... maybe the thuns would give the above a shake too :-k

Any teams in the bottom 5 beaten anybody not in the basket case league Pies?

I rest my case........................

They only have wins against each other, but have no chance of victory against any top opposition.

Sydney Hawthorn, Collingwood have all lost to opposition above them so i expect them to go on a 5 game winning streak making the top 6 of the AFL the elite league were they have all but qualified for the finals within 10 rounds of footy.

This comp is shaping up worse then 2012, what a thought would not be possible in 2013 is happening at a faster rate....... =D> =D>

Thank God you dont represent me in a court of law. I would go in with a speeding ticket and come out with 20 years behind bars. Perhaps you should research the topic a little better before resting your case.

Nope it happens quite a few times a season. Its just something else that makes our competition good. A team can be 30 or more points up even going into the last 20 minutes of the game and still end up losing. In our game you can never take your foot of it or you end up losing momentum.

Just looking at the ladder and there are 9 teams on 1 win or less Surprisingly west coast and Carlton are there along with north Melbourne and st kilda. I think st kilda will have a tough year. They will win a few and lose a few . They have already list to the suns which was a massive upset . Suns play giants next week and with suns expected to win will see them climb the ladder a little. I think north are better then their position dictates and will climb up the ladder a little. I think they are better than st kilda. Carlton is too. I think Richmond will drop down out of 8. Freo is a tough one and who knows with west coast . I think essendon will lose a few too starting Thursday . So after round 4 what do we know ?

Collingwood, hawthorn, Geelong , and maybe the swans are the teams to beat. After this I think we can lump in essendon , north , sneaking in Adelaide. Then Carlton , freo, Richmond maybe. You will have gws and Melbourne fighting out last I suspect . Then I think you have what's left in the next tier ... Although west coast i am not too sure about. I think the bulldogs will win a few and the suns ... Would back suns over bulldogs if at home to suns but not away.

So my bottom six would be from bottom ... Gws, Melbourne .... Daylight then suns st kilda, bulldogs, and you could throw anyone into 6th but let's say west coast. Oh throw port in with Richmond :)

The bottom 5 in the AFL are already strikingly similar to the bottom 5 of last year. And lets face it, if port hadnt have drawn a dream card for the first 5 rounds, it'd be the same bottom six as last year

The bottom 5 of the nrl are quite different to the bottom 5 last year.

Plain and simple folks, the AFL is lopsided to billio and has a serious problem.

Oh and Xman et al who were screaming about brissies massive improvement after their winning the preseason cup ...you've all gone a tad quiet of late...? Whatsa tha matta? Ol KE right on the money again? Cat got yer tongues?

We lost to 2 of the 4 sides we've played so far last year.

I think youve gone a bit early actually. The lions just lost to Adelaide, beat the suns, and lost twice in Melbourne. While thats not a great start its hardly a death nail.

As for the AFL and serious problems, thats just wishful thinking from a fool with no understanding of a high scoring game like ARs. Port Adelaide have shown how quickly fortunes can change.
