After generating only $185 million in revenue from broadcast rights, sponsorship and gate receipts last year, the ARLC's revenue is projected to increase to $284 million this year and $323 million in 2017.

this is clearly revenue for the league

Grant said that under the five-year, $1.025 billion broadcast deal, the game would earn $2 billion but only 10 per cent of that was not accounted for in expenditure.

this includes club revenue.

In those 5 years in which the NRL earn 2b the AFL will earn 4b

Same article has your media at 240 million a year but this is an average. Normally these sort of deals pay less at the start and increase towards the end of the deal. Hence why the revenue goes from 284 to 323 by 2017. If we compare this year to future revenue.
This year the total revenue was 185 million and if we take away your media revenue that's 90 million 9/fox + 14 million NZ 15 million Telstra and say 1 million for radio. That's 65 million of non media revenue max ( might be less) That means that this year the NRL will receive about 220 million from media making the total about 285 million. In 2017 the NRL will receive about 255 million from media and if you add non-media to it that's getting close to the 323 million they get in 2017.

My numbers are not exact but that's how it works. John grant would tell you the same thing ( in fact he did when he read out the revenue projections) Not a hard concept to grasp but some how I think you might continue to argue with no real facts or figures to back up your statements.

I think you are confused mate the non media component isn't really big, you thought it was 90 million but it is much closer to 60 million. I know you are trolling but surely the word of grant backed up by numbers worked out by his accountants is good enough for you.
