They made the finals last year but bombed out first round and since their fans are used to success and them going deeper into the finals, a bad finals series is all it takes for their band wagoners to jump off. 31k was the lowest first home crowd of the year for them since 2004. Can you imagine the decline in crowds if they missed the finals in consecutive years? :o
I agree with you on that one Stewie, Brisbane fans are alot similar to much of the Sydney based clubs and if there team is not performing people will not show up. I do think they will still get 25k members this year, though it will not be as much as last years total.

Only time will tell I guess, who knows if they pull a couple of wins together before the round 6 game with NQ they may well surpass last years figure as they are just about at 20k now.

How can one game tickets for people in their own city even be considered members? If they were interestate and guaranteed one game then fair enough, but for people living in Brisbane that's pathetic. At least buy a 3 game membership ffs.

Only a club desperate for members would count people in its own city who purchase a ticket for 1 match as a member.

They're not financially desperate obvsiouly dumbfuck, I never said they were. But they are desperate to get some membership support to remain the biggest in the nRL. Why else would the Broncos make such a big deal about getting people to buy these 1 game "memberships"?

22k weeks ago, they'd be near 24k by now, far higher than ANY nRL team! =D> =D> =D>

Oh and I thought AFL was declining in NSW? Why is it both the swans and giants are significantly higher than last year? :-k

22k was already admitted by the swans weeks ago. The giants are over 10k with less than 4k from the act.

I know it hurts Dave but try not to make shit up thanks [-X
