Yes I go to swans games often. I watch marngrook played in the AFL comp often. Remember AFL is an organisation not a game you silly man. It's only called AFL by folk who have little intelligence and/or have been brainwashed by the AFL organisation's propaganda like promo of the game as being the organisation. I prefer to call the sport marngrook as 'aussie rules' assumes its nation wide when its barely known in 2 of the 3 most populace cities in the nation.

Oh and adam my lil dung beetle? I also play marngrook and have played and watch rugby league. :D So yeah I'm the authority on this matter pal. Dont listen to me on these matters and you'll look foolish atleast 9 times outta 10

Its the ultimate promotion, though highly unethical and immoral. The AFL has happily continued such promotion to the masses of sheep too stupid to realise what they're being fed.

The sport is called australian rules footy however this is also misleading. It should be called marngrook. Anyway stewie i have a lovely thread just on this matter. Its a few pages back, search for it and enlighten yourself me lad.

The local paper here calls it football and everyone I know calls it football, although sometimes you come across a less intelligent soccer fan who calls the sport AFL. I haven't met any nRL fans personally so I can't comment there, but online 90% of them say AFL.

The AFL logo is the most recognisable sports logo in Australia and when people see it they think about the sport of Australian Football.
