No you are too stupid to understand that illicit drugs are just as dangerous to a game's integrity as PED's. I simply used the tanking analogy to prove a point, and it went right over your brain damaged head.

Interesting.

Explain to me why WADA target PEDs and effectively ignore the recreational use of illicit drugs. In fact phelps was photo'd smoking a joint, with public outcry, yet WADA said "who cares".

Explain to me why the AFL is one of the few sports in the world with an illicit drugs policy.

What illicit drugs policy?? What they have is freaking useless! WADA is only interested in performance enhancement. The ACC on the other hand cover the lot. If WADA don't then they are just as bad as the AFL! No integrity!

As I just explained, the vast of majority of world sports are under WADA who ignore out of competition illicit drug use. And WADA do cover illicit drugs, but only on game day. Why? because they dont consider it cheating which is the biggest threat to a games integrity.

The AFLs illict drugs policy is also far better than the NRLs sweep sweep illicit drugs policy because ours is transparent so the results can be reviewed, debated, and the policy improved. The nrl leave testing to the clubs, who clearly have an interest in hiding results.

So if illicit drugs are as dangerous to a games integrity as you claimed, why do most sports ignore their use out of game time? :-k

Because they're fucking STUPID!! I'm not about to argue over the NRL's policy, but you are over stating the effectiveness of the AFL policy. The ACC has well and truly exposed THAT! SEVEN clubs, doofus! That's MORE than the NRL by one!

I'm telling you the AFL are far more serious about illicit drug use than almost every other sporting body on the plant.

I'm also telling you that illicit drug use isnt cheating hence most other codes don't have a specific policy, and this includes comps far richer and more popular then any comp in Australia.

The AFL have already shown, on their own and without any prompting from the ACC, that illicit drug use is present in their game.

Yet we hear nothing from the NRL, not a word, until the ACC expose it! Sweep sweep! [-X

The AFL are sweeping just as much because their so called illicit drugs policy FAILED!! Seven clubs affected compared to six from the NRL. If the AFL were serious there would be players being given their marching orders from way back! Now if they did that the NRL would sit up and take notice and (yeah I admit it) copy the AFL. We aren't at the moment because we know the AFL system is a joke!!

How has it failed? Its successfully reduced illicit drug use by AFL players year after year, except this last year. How the hell are they sweeping? In the last few years theyve had a handful of positive results from 800 players  test the general public and you'd have hundreds from the same number

Punishing players for their first try of illicit drug use is incredibly unrealistic and just plain doesn't work. Not even the general public are subject to these penalties anymore. The best medical practice includes finding those at risk and teaching them why that path is flawed. If the person continues to use they then suffer penalties. That's the way illicit drugs is managed in the community, and thats the most appropriate way to manage it in sport.

There's one important aspect to understand which was well explained by one of the leading drug authority presidents . Illicit drug use is often associated with depression. Punishing these people is not the answer to their problems. Supporting and educating them is. This is where illicit drug policy is heading. Get with the times!

Yeah get with the times. Tha ACC has exposed that drug policy as NOT GOOD ENOUGH!! Best practice? The instant they use drugs they cop PUNISHMENT! That's the ONLY way to get the message across! Anything less is open to abuse, as the AFL were already told by Collingwood in case you forgot! No more three strikes BS! One strike and you're out - like it is with PED's in the NRL by the way!! I want that expanded to illicit drugs and after this I think we will.

This thread has gone way off topic and does not appear to be football related anymore. Still some interesting reading and comments from various members and as such the thread has been split into 2 new threads in the General foum. One thread for the discussion about depression, mental illness and how it can be defined and another thread for the debate for and against vaccinations.

But you can't bait on the other forums! That's what I've been doing - with the truth of course - and X and TL have been baiting me back with their lies! All fair in The Fight Club. But elsewhere you can't do it! In fact I'm within my rights to lock those threads where you moved them to!

As the split topics came about from this thread, I personally have no issue with you all continuing in the General forum as if it was still here.
