Go back to the start of the thread mate. You were boasting about the Broncos easily getting more than last years tally and to 30k members. Now this doesn't look like happening you're in denial

The nRL isn't as strong as you think it is Dave.
it doesn't look like eh

oh yeah
our Media rights deal..... it doesn't look like the NRL will get anywhere near our deal

TV ratings ...... it doesn't look like RL will win the ratings in 2012

less then the football operation I understand .... 2.5M to 1.5M after tax
and it ALL goes into one bucket the one that contains ova 14 Million ATM

they are a publicly listed company & are on the stock exchange ... so if they make a profit .. shareholders receive a dividend
News Ltd holds 51% of shares

very wealthy club ... in fact ... Australias wealthiest.
thats the point. The leagues club earns 35m but has costs of 33m. This leaves the broncos football club with a yearly income of a mere 34m with little benefit from the leagues club.
:
the football club has costs of 32.5 Million & revenue of 35 Million
the leagues club has costs of 33.5 Million & revenue of 35 Million
the broncos ended up with 4 Million dollars .. profit .... after tax
they pay shareholders a small dividend from this ... the rest is theirs to spend on what eva they want

they have posted profits year after year after year

thats why they were able to build a leagues club
thats why they were able to build a training facility

& even after investing tens of millions in facilities they still have more cash then any football club in this nation
this is why
they are the wealthiest football club in Australia.
You still don't get it! Hardly a surprise.

The entire Broncos club may earn 70m but only 35m is available for their football club. More than half the AFL clubs have bigger Football club budgets.

Collingwood could cut 20m per year off their yearly spending and invest it in property and business. But what for? They're a sporting club not a business. They're there to play sport and investing money into their sporting club is their aim, not buying property.

the Broncos don't need any more then 35M to be the wealthiest football club in the nation knob
Collinsdog & other VFL clubs may have more available to them
but don't do as well as the Broncos ... most VFL clubs .. do much ... much worse

VFL clubs are soooooo committed to their bills ... their outgoings
that if they have a tiny downturn in income

they are Fucked
its a house of cards tis the VFL... as many people other then me have warned the VFL
so much fragility
maybe you should pull yr head of yr @rse for a bit .... to see this for yourself

What utter rubbish. The Broncos would spend more if they had it. They budget for that income

Collingwood spend 68m because they can. They get that income for their footy club every year. The Broncos about half. Who is better off I wonder?

Collinscar spend that because they have to ..... they are committed to the costs .... locked in & must find the revenue to match it.
if their revenue is hampered in any way .... its into the red they go & theres little back up.

the Broncos have a whole other business the size of their football operation to rely on if things went south for them
that why they are the nations wealthy football club .... & will be for a long long time

Other AFL clubs survive on half Collingwoods budget. Collingwood have the best facilities, a coaching panel bigger than some NRL clubs membership tallies, support crew, more doctors and physios than the local hospital etc etc. As if they "need" all that. They have it because they can afford it. Doesnt mean its locked in you great fool.

Meanwhile if the Broncos have a bad year they could go cap in hand to their business arm. But unfortunately they have costs of their own and could only spare a few million which is their profit.

Its far easier to cut extra spending than find new revenue

What? Penriff memberships? I agree, a little too cheap imo. Times must be tough for the nRL with these new competitors out west.
