since 2005 the NRL attendance average has actually gone down!

Not very good at this are you?
hes not very good at it ?

the NRL crowds have gone down by............ 44 fans a game
the VFL

6000 ...

yes ... & he's not very good at this
A bigger self own age I haven't seen in a while. The AFLs memberships have increased by about 40% in 5 years but their crowds dropped. He claims this proves fudgin. Yet looking at the NRL their crowds have dropped since 2005 but their memberships increased by what 1000%?

According to eels criteria this proves megafudging!

Just as stupid as eels. If thats the case the NRL memberships are a downright rort. How do you drop crowds yet go from 50k members to over 200k?

for the AFL 360k is like a round and a bit attendance. This is easily accounted for in double the number of games in expansion states of qld nsw and Tas. Add to that the huge increase in TV ratings due to live TV and the AFLs interest went way way up. =D> =D>

Lets examine this shall we

AFL memberships 2007 were 532k. This year they were 708k. So an increase of 176k

NRL memberships This year were 204k. So unless they had less than 28k members in 2007 Dave the AFL have increase by more members.

Yes a rise of 176k..............................................fudgy fudgy...................and a fall in crowd numbers of 3k across the board and 300k less fans through the turnstiles.

FUDGY FUDGY is clear for everyone to see Xman thx for making it clear as day.............. =D> =D>

we all know VFL memberships are a crock eels

many clubs with 40 to 45K members
have average crowds of 30 to 35K

the crows have ova 50K members ... yet only averaged 34K

its
gold fish & baby memberships .... for $20, where you get a fridge magnet & a bumper sticker that makes up a very high % of VFL memberships

you don't see this is the NRL
Broncos 26K members .... 33K average crowds
Bulldogs 13K members .... 24K average crowds
Tigers 10K members ..... 17K crowds
Parra 11K members .... 17K crowds

our memberships aren't a rort ... end of
Well put, and pretty much sums up this whole thread........................end off discussion really................ =D> =D> =D>

Rubbish

What it means is the AFL have a far higher proportion of their crowds that are members where as the NRL have a higher proportion of general admission.

Now that is the end of....

A shame that the SCG redevelopment is going to adversely affect our membership numbers again this season. Still good to see such high membership numbers prior to Xmas. Looks like we may make some good coin out of our premium membership categories too. Go Swans! =D>
Swans membership high
By Swans Media - Tanya Paolucci Exclusive to sydneyswans.com.au 1:11pm AEDT Tuesday, December 18, 2012

The Sydney Swans 2013 membership campaign is on track for a stellar season, with more than 17,000 members already signing on with the Swans for next season.

The phones have been running hot in the Swans membership department, with staff taking over 1700 calls in the last fortnight alone.

At 9:00am this morning, the club’s membership total reached 17,282, which is well ahead of the number at this time last year, and is comparable with the same amount who had signed up by the middle of February this year.

Among the Swans membership tally are 2579 new members, as well as an increase in Premium Memberships, including the Ultimate 11 and Redback memberships.

In the battle of the new clubs to be the first to hit 10,000 members, Greater Western Sydney has taken the lead over Gold Coast.

Giants - 6,834

Suns - 6,788

Both new clubs have more members than many NRL clubs.

Most clubs haven't updated their stats over the Christmas holidays, moron. Expect new updates in the coming weeks.
