what are you suggesting the NRL won't achieve its goals ?Xman wrote:Hang on, youre saying I'm dumb yet youre claiming figures in 5 years as facts.....Raiderdave wrote:Xman wrote:200k NRL memberships last year to 700K AFL memberships. Thats 28% Dave.
I bet the AFL has actually had a more additional memberships in that time than the NRL.
how Fucking dumb are you ...![]()

the 15% figure .. our tally in 2008 up against the VFL's then
the 66% figure .... our tally up against the VFL's in 2017
the NRL will of increased their actual tally of members by over 300,000 from 2008 to 2017
the VFL by about 200,000
from 550K to 750K
& they've added 2 more clubs ... so its even less impressive

oh yeah
they wouldn't get a billion for their media rights deal
how'd that turn out for ya c head ?

Good call Dave, at every turn they have been proven wrong and yet they cannot see past there noses.... =D>
See dave not all AFL fans are ********* like Xman and his cheer squad.....

Look in the last week we have had Wookie come on our forum and post some good things all with facts and links to back his claims, it is a shame that these Neanderthals cant do the same. :D
Xman and Co are a desperate rabble just like Sydney FC and the Midgets......

I have no issue with Dave predicting membership numbers will rise. Funny how he predicted the AFLs would rise far less when they've risen consistently more over the last 5 years.

But to gloat over predictions is histerical!

Truth is, they will both rise. The AFL's will most likely halt first as they will reach a maximum of memberships and crowds at some stage. The NRL though, still has a lot of growth to go through in regards to membership and crowds and it will happen over the next decade or so especially with expansion in 2015 or 17. Arguing over which sport is better is stupid, they are both great spectacles, they both provide us with great entertainment.
its already started with the victorian game
their crowds are plummeting .... 6K less on average a game then 2 years ago
all the but but butting in the world about stadium renovations & new teams doesn't cover this ... as they now play more games ... but attract less fans
the comp is of a woeful standard & will be for a while yet
they will be lucky to keep their average above 30K next year .... & membership growth is grinding to a halt as well
afterall theres only so many gold fish & babies one can sign up

Interesting how you forgot to mention they have far more viewers. Attendance went down by a few hundred thousand but ratings went up by millions =D>
but .... were still behind Rugby League's enormous tally in this country
numb 2..... again

please
A) prove they weren't included
B) show where they added up to the 8 million difference
K ?
