But Raiderdave just said that the Titans were debt free instantly once they sold their centre of shitness?
Not quite, Searle was still in charge when they sold it. The new admin were the ones that cleared the debt completely.
Wow what do you know? Raiderdave lied again... [-X

They sure do talk some bs, one in particular lies quite a bit.

I mean, why lie, it's only a sport, it's not perfect.

I have no issue with Dave predicting membership numbers will rise. Funny how he predicted the AFLs would rise far less when they've risen consistently more over the last 5 years.

But to gloat over predictions is histerical!

Truth is, they will both rise. The AFL's will most likely halt first as they will reach a maximum of memberships and crowds at some stage. The NRL though, still has a lot of growth to go through in regards to membership and crowds and it will happen over the next decade or so especially with expansion in 2015 or 17. Arguing over which sport is better is stupid, they are both great spectacles, they both provide us with great entertainment.

the comp is of a woeful standard & will be for a while yet
they will be lucky to keep their average above 30K next year .... & membership growth is grinding to a halt as well

2 stadium renovations currently, 2 brand new football arenas to be in action by 2018, the rise of GWS and GC, Richmond to eventually come good, yeah I'd say crowds are only heading up from here and that's despite playing a record amount of games at suburban nRL standard venues. =D>
As for the stagnant nRL.... can't see that suburban amateur comp ever getting an average over 17k

I'd suggest the NRl have some massive hurdles to cross before they get anywhere near the AFL. Stadiums alone will be an issue. Massive funding is needed for the NRL to increase memberships and crowds given many games are played in small stadiums, and the ones in larger stadiums are so poorly attended because theyre not located in the region where the fans live #-o

Arguing over which sport is better is stupid, they are both great spectacles, they both provide us with great entertainment.
its already started with the victorian game
their crowds are plummeting .... 6K less on average a game then 2 years ago
all the but but butting in the world about stadium renovations & new teams doesn't cover this ... as they now play more games ... but attract less fans
the comp is of a woeful standard & will be for a while yet
they will be lucky to keep their average above 30K next year .... & membership growth is grinding to a halt as well
afterall theres only so many gold fish & babies one can sign up
Interesting how you forgot to mention they have far more viewers. Attendance went down by a few hundred thousand but ratings went up by millions =D>
but .... were still behind Rugby League's enormous tally in this country

numb 2..... again
not when all ARs games were included like youve included all RL games [-X
King-Eliagh: ...I believe [RL] is popular in all the other states and territories, bar tasmania.
