Melbourne victory >>>>>>>>>>>> storm cheaters

Post by Xman »

Melbourne victory are averaging a home crowd of 25k, and have a membership base of 17k.

Compare that to the lowly storm who averaged only 12k home attendance, and 12k membership, IN A PREMIERSHIP YEAR!

:(/ :(/ :(/ :(/ :(/ :(/

Even funnier is that the victory are Melbournes second A league team, while the storm cheaters are Melbournes only NRL team.

RL, always manages to provide the LOLZ!

Just imagine how small the Storm would be if there was a second nRL team. And imagine how small the second nRL team would be in the first place!

nRL... it has no place in Melbourne or anywhere west of western Shitney.

RL is building in melbourne and it sickens you poor bastards to death

I wonder how it makes you feel slowly seeing the integration of RL in the city? The population of men growing muscular, necks disappearing, toughness increasing, and on field biffo being conducted

Embrace it folks, its there to stay :D

Viewers watching RL on tv in melbourne increased quite significantly as far as I know. And on my frequent travels to melbourne over the past years I cant help but notice the growing number of storm supporters milling about at pubs, train stations and other venues. It's good to see and melbourne is big enough for both codes. Embrace it stewie, like thousands and thousands of other melbournians are doing, god blessum :D

Please provide evidence for this growth. The storms crowd averages suggest they havent grown at all despite them playing in 5 of the last 8 NRL GF's. Notice how the Lions crowds almost doubled in their succesful era. For the Storm to be on par they should have an average crowd of 24k. Not to mention Melbourne is twice the size of Brisbane.

Theres some facts for ya

TV viewers Xman. On several nights this year more than one in ten households across the entire city...(you know what 'across' means right? ) loved their RL. Additionally melbourne storm crowds have increased since they entered the league as has tv viewing, considerably :D

Swans crowds were not down in 2010 you lying piece of sh1t.

You can't claim this is an innocent mistake. You've tried this nonsense before and you've been corrected before. Pathetic.

Actually they've decreased.

1998: 12,716
2012: 12,685

Their highest year for attendance was in 2010, when they were playing for no premiership points. Locals really got behind them. 14,670 was their average attendance that year. They have enough core support to survive, and Melbourne is a sporting city, so there's enough bandwagon support for when they're firing. But to have failed to grow attendances after 15 years and all the incredible success they've had isn't great.

To return to the title of the thread, yes, absolutely MV are bigger than the Storm.

Oh forgive me for that one drac. But in terms of overall viewers the number has increased for the storm, considerably.

People in Melbourne do like the storm. They like all kinds of sport with AFL being the biggest.

Sydney on the other hand have this fear factor with the AFL which just shows what a strange city it is.

Well done Melbourne!
