So this is what your argument has resorted to? The suns and GCoast appearances on 7mate?

As for the Perth teams, look again. The first 7 matches for west coast (in the first 7 rounds) got full FTA coverage I believe.

Given that Canberra got 3 or 4 appeances on FTA . After making the 8 this yearI think its reasonable to expect they will get more

Surprise - surprise all WC matches for the season appear on 7 =D> I dare say there not a one off
A draft version of the NRL draw for the first 20 rounds for next year has allocated just one free-to-air game for the Raiders, limiting exposure for their sponsors.

So 1 FTA game in the first 20 rounds for the Raiders. Hmmm

Not sure what your on about with your Westcoast comments :-k Ive repeatedly said theyre on FTA every week, and they are. As are the Dockers, Crows, Power, Lions, Swans, Suns and Giants. Unlike many lesser light NRL clubs that get 3 or 4 FTA games for an entire season!
An early draft version - :)

What do you mean you don't know what i'm on about with the west coast!!!! Your the one that keeps bringing up the fact that Brisbane have 90% of there matches covered, and try to make an issue. well the West Coast has 100% and there there a few others aswell.

Pussycat,
its not a hard point to understand and what it comes down to is that the AFL have a better FTA TV deal for the fans who want to watch their teams. 8 teams get 22 games on FTA TV into their home states and the rest get (I dont know for sure but feel free to look) probabaly 8-20 games on FTA TV. The NRL however dont have as good a deal for the fans to watch their sides on FTA TV. Its not the end of the world and hopefully with the next TV deal the NRL will be in a better financial position to give the fans more.

What I do understand is that you AFL lovers, who continually pushing there barrow about Brisbane having so much exposure on TV, makes use look like real ninnys and hypocrits when a number of your teams have more.

No one disputes the AFL have more coverage. They've sold there soul, they had to , to get there money. But as you allude to, It will put the NRL in a strong negotiating position for our next contract. I'm not sure we will get another 130% rise - but it will be big.

I dont have an issue with Brisbane, although some league supporters do have an issue. Like you said there is one Friday night game which is specific for the Qld market so thats 24 games involving Broncos,Cowboys or Titans (average 10 each if they play each other twice each) and sunday games. But I think most Raider fans and the club itself might have an issue with only 1 game on FTA, while making finals. All AFL teams get, I would say minimum 8 times the FTA exposure. You can say that the AFL sold itself out but if you say that, you would have to say that the NRL sold itself out cheaper and they gave their fans less.

FMD

Every AFL team other than those in Victoria are shown on fta every week!

It doesn't favour the team with the biggest population base so the ratings are the biggest! This is exactly what happens in the NRL with the broncos getting 5-7 times the FTA coverage of other NRL clubs. Your smaller clubs are screwed and will remain small and struggling while the broncos grow and prosper.

This ridiculous arrangement is insisted by ch9 and allowed by the NRL.

That is a specific Qld market . There is no difference between that and the way the AFL/7 cater for specific markets. Stop trying to make out there is.

Its common sense (amongst normal people) that if have 3 matches on FTA a week your not going to be able to show as many as when you have 4 and a bit.

All our sites are shown on Fri night(TV best ratings night), unlike AFL.

Digital channels are a poor excuse for a poor argument .Ratings clearly show that you're going to a much larger audience on PTV rather than a digital Channel

VFL mongs logic

the Broncos get 90% of their games on FTA , while some NRL clubs get a lot less , but all clubs at least get a go on Friday Night
but thats bad ... very bad [-X [-X

Every VFL side outside Victoria gets 100% of their games on FTA while some sides in Melbourne get a lot less , & some never get on Friday Nights
yep .. nothing wrong with that 8-[

No difference? :-k

A number of NRL clubs got 3-4 FTA games for the entire year while the Broncos got 21!

How is that "no difference"?

Its shared you moron between the sides in the 8. We just don't put our most popular team on FN 80% of the time irrespective of their form.

Almost every AFL team, including Melbourne teams, would get 3-4 times the FTa games of teams like the raiders.

And if the Broncos were from WA and played AFL they would get 100%.

Stop rehashing the same old crap argument. Collingwood/Carlton 90% of the time - GWS/Suns 0% - Melb/Nth Melb 15%. Its not that difficult to grasp, at least it shouldn't be. [-o<

and if Canberra were from WA, SA, NSW or QLD theyd have got 100%. If they were from Melbourne they would have got over 35%. And no. Neither Collingwood or Carlton got 90%, not even close. [-X

NM got 8 FTA games, or 36% so stop that BS!

The NRL have sold out to ch9 and are sitting idly by while the Broncos prosper and the lesser teams continue to die.

I only looked at the first 6 weeks, in that time Carlton were 5 from 6 while Collingwood 6 from 6

The only reason Nth Melb got that many is because they had to play the teams that get 100%

Arn't the Suns & GWS banned from being on 7? altogether ??????????????????????????????????????????????????

No one is banned. Just like the NRL the AFL,is on the secondary digital channel in expansion states.

I've already told you Carlton and Collinwood get no where near 100% FTA coverage. Carlton got 16 out of 22, 5 less than the broncos #-o

Carlton were expected to be top4 this year and were scheduled well like other top 8 sides from the year before.

As usual you are wrong, as part of the deal, struck between AFL/7, last contract neither GWS or the Suns Are allowed to appear on the main channel

What about West Coast? i

No, as part of the last deal 4 FTa games are to broadcast into NSW and QLD on 7 mate. It has nothing to do with them being banned from ch7  So therefor the suns and giants are on FTA every week, as are the swans lions crows power eagles and dockers...

How about the panthers, or raiders, or sharks, or storm?
