I think you are trying to hard to be a code warrior. I suggest going out and watching a different code of football just to give it a shot and if you dont like it, just dont watch it you really dont have to bag it out or call it names like filth. In the end it just makes you sound like a bit of a tool.

I have had the misfortune to witness an nrl game at an empty stadium in Sydney once. Although it is a good cure for insomnia it is soooooo boring with no atmosphere. Watching grass grow is more exciting.

Well I guess at least you gave it a go. I love AFL and I have given the NRL and soccer a go. I like both of those sports but I just dont have the passion for them that I have for the Collingwood football club. I have never really watched a union game and I dont have foxtel. For me the reason why AFL will continue to grow in the country is because it is a very good and exciting football game to watch (just my opinion). Other sports will have no infulence on the growth of our game because it is to good to just die when another sport moves into our teritory. Personally I dont understand why so many NRL supporters are worried about the AFL moving a team into the goldcoast and western Sydney. If RL is such a good sport then they have nothing to worry about.

Yes most NRL fans i know and in here dont really give too hoots about the AFL's move into sydney and the GC, they simply know their code is the stronger in these heartlands and will never be subsumed by the different product. But from my reading its the AFL fans who come from a supremist type perception believing their code will, and i quote Andrew Demetriou here, "be the sport of choice for all young men, for all time" that are the real fools on this website. Xman is perhaps the staunchest of these dumbos.

I can guarantee you that this sort of thing does not happen in NSW or QLD media when talking about AFL, its really does not paint the people in Vic media and Vic in general in a good light.
