Eagles and Lions Review

Post by King-Eliagh »

Seeming we missed the weekly reviews this week I thought I'd chip in and review this match. :)

The lions came out onto the field all steamed up from a visit to the local "free hot manure yard" where they basked and bathed in hot piles of steaming manure like a bunch of fat old pigs in mud.

Once on the field the Eagles preceeded to shit all over them, which as far as I could see they quite enjoyed. Voss has put on weight, Michaels looks like he belongs in a nursing home and the rest had too much shit on them to tell any differences. They played like shit, their coach definitely looked like shit after the game, and last reports claim the team is huddling in a brick shit house trying to work out whats gone wrong since last year.

All in all the Eagles played superbly and the Lions played....Shit.

Who would've thought after Rd 5, the ladder would see the Lions on the bottom and Port not far in front?

Certainly has come to a surprise to many people this year, the Lions still have the players... they just arent performing.

The Eagles midfield is brilliant, are going to be very hard to stop this year... Cousins and Judd are becoming an unstoppable combination (basically are) and really to add that extra when it heads into the forwardline.

Lappin and Akermanis were good for the Lions, but more will need to stand up and they cannot just rely on these two. Jonathan Brown back this week will add a bit more height and another target in the forwardline, but it's not much of a help if no ones delivering it in there!

Sounds a bit like a preview. Any chance we can get one this week? :P

That would be fantastic. :D

You probably noticed we have a big gap where the previews go on the homepage. No worries if it takes too long and you can't do it due to other commitments.

Perhaps you could just make a preview for the Friday night match or a match of your choice. No pressure mate.

Ah KE, clearly you're not an advocate of the philosophy of history repeating itself? Haven't you learned anything of the last 4 years KE?

Don't you remember the Eagles thrashing the Lions at the Gabba in 2002 and 2003? The same Lions went on to win the flag.

I'll guarantee you now, King, that the Lions (unlike the Swans) will be around come September. In fact, I'd be very, very surprised if they aren't in a preliminary final.

Clearly, when you were a young prince in primary school, the cross-country run wasn't one of your best events. Sure, when the starter said "GO" you took the lead, but once you turned the corner and had to run up the steep hill halfway into the event, you had nothing left and gave up.

The advice I'll give you is it doesn't matter how you start a race, it's how you finish that matters. That and patience are the key!

Se you at the GF in September!

Freakishly correct about the cross country there croc! That did happen in primary many times and in secondary i did the same but just 'cause I wanted the chicks up on the hill to see my blinding pace.

But I dont see the lions there in september because they're shithouse  . It will be hard work digging up all my statements come september to rub it in once more but rest assured I will. Hows about a bet of some description croc? If Lions dont make the cut you have to where a lions banner of a player of your choice eating a superimposed turd for the entire offseason and until they get their first win in 2006?
