American Football more popular than RL in WA. Hahaha
To think the NRL is apparently considering WA for expansion.

Hang on a sec. News Ltd/NRL CEO David Gallop tells us Perth is being contemplated for future expansion. Clearly they didn't learn from their fuck up last time when the people of Perth said overwhelmingly... "WE"RE NOT INTERESTED IN RUGBY LEAGUE".cos789 wrote:The superbowl received a lot of attention here. No sign of rl.

The fact remains all AFL clubs have significantly greater incomes than NRL clubs due to great crowds and membership numbers. The crowds increase exposure that results in far greater money from sponsorship.
The NRL miss out on all these advantages because their fans believe the game is better on TV. Well then they better make the most of their TV rights because they will need it to come within a whiff of the AFL financially. Funny thing is, the AFL still has the far superior TV deal despite dominating the other revenue streams by miles!

King-Eliagh: ...I believe [RL] is popular in all the other states and territories, bar tasmania.
