Sydney is an AFL town
Re: Sydney is an AFL town
A membership is taken to support a club financially. That is the core to it and that is what you refuse to accept as a concept. Every member is fully ticketed.
Rugby League has a lying culture. Altering crowd figures, relying on inaccurate TV figures from regional NSW and refusing to distance itself from Leagues Clubs and obtain it's own club memberships as it relies on LC's to survive as private entities.
Re: Sydney is an AFL town
Topper how come the Richmond membership website asks me" will I be attending games in 2012? When I answer no it offers me a membership package for $85 for the season. It does not say "piss off you slacker you dont know what membership means!"
I cannot work out if it is ego or ignorance of the AFL crew that launch an attack on the NRL membership numbers/base without actually checking their own backyard first.
It is pretty obvious that the AFL use a broad definition of membership or perhaps it is just club by club.
How come the other AFL comrades are not launching a vigorous support of your position? Are they non ticketed members? The shame.

The first paragraph proves that you don't understand, so I suggest you quit while you're behind.

Re: Sydney is an AFL town
I am actually happy to accept what the Richmond Members site tells me. I can be counted as one their 2012 members for $85 and dont have to go to a game. I dont have to be a ticketed member. All very straight forward.
Re: Sydney is an AFL town
If you pay $85, you are a ticketed member.

Re: Sydney is an AFL town
Topper thanks for qualifying. Means that South Sydney have 20k in members and no need for the NRL to split membership numbers based on who has season tickets and who doesnt
Re: Sydney is an AFL town
South Sydney's "membership" comprises 100 percent of the membership of it's League's club. The RL club itself has no members.

Re: Sydney is an AFL town
But Topper Souths Football club have such a good website inviting members and all over Sydney you see cars with their Souths football club membership badge on it. How deep is this Souths conspiracy to hide that they do not have a single football club member? How embarrassing that no one has bought tickets from them? All those premierships and no one wants to join in.
Seriously one of the most baseless statements ever on any forum

Re: Sydney is an AFL town
One should also take into account AFL memberships, Intentcity.
Enarelle, you just showed how little you understand about the way NRL clubs treat memberships.

Re: Sydney is an AFL town
Topper you sure got guts. I am member of a NRL football club so I reckon I got some idea on how it works.
You on the other hand clearly have no idea about the structure of rugby league and cling to these desperate falsehoods to justify how the AFL is advancing north of the Murray.
Looking forward to the other AFL forum members supporting your views. Suspect they are laughing/cringing.
Glad you are on their side

Re: Sydney is an AFL town
You are a member of a Leagues Club, not an NRL club. Kindly do not lie, thank you.

Topper I love the way you accuse people of lying without any evidence.
I am a member of both the Leagues Club and the Football Club.

You are a member of the Leagues Club only, enarelle. I call on you to prove you have an NRL club membership. I don't believe you.

Can you let us know how many memberships you have and with how many different clubs at the same time topperTopper wrote:You are a member of the Leagues Club only, enarelle. I call on you to prove you have an NRL club membership. I don't believe you.
