the NRL may have the last word on this
if he is convicted of these charges ..... then he'll be deregisterd & he won't be playing anywhere in 2012 ..........
that is all........
Yeah right, the NRL just pretends there is no issue. Sign a new contract and move on to a new club is the NRL way of thinking... hoping of course the issue will go away.

hes pleaded not guilty .... the NRL is not in the habit of sacking players that have not been convicted of anything
if he were found not guilty by a court , & the NRL had de-listed him prior to this finding off the back of hysterical shreaking by sheilas like you , Lui would sue them ... n win.

settle down princess
its in the hands of the courts , & in fact .. it will decide if he continues in the NRL or not.

Gees, is it any wonder these women bashing thug criminals never seem to learn. You're a mess/thug criminal and you get rewarded with a new contract. Disgusting code.
Warriors star Brett Seymour ends stint in New Zealand with drink driving conviction
AAP
November 16, 20119:46AM

Warriors NRL star Brett Seymour's two-year stay in New Zealand has ended in ignominy with an Auckland court slapping the player with a drink-driving conviction.

The 27-year-old was caught driving erratically near his Onehunga home last Thursday and blew almost 2.5 times the legal limit.

He appeared in Auckland District Court on Tuesday, and pleaded guilty to charges of drink-driving and failing to stop for police, the New Zealand Herald reported.

Via his lawyer, he admitted he'd made an unwise decision to drive home and submitted a letter explaining how, in community magistrate Joanna Sihamu's words, he was "endeavouring to work with your issues".

Seymour, who will shortly be relocating to play for English Sper League club Hull, was fined $NZ950 ($A730) and disqualified from driving for seven months.

The drink-related incident is not Seymour's first brush with the law.

In 2006, he was sacked by Brisbane Broncos for allegedly head-butting a woman at a nightclub, which was investigated but not pursued by police.

Three years on, Cronulla were forced to follow suit after two high-profile incidents in which he was evicted from a nightclub and infamously filmed stumbling around a mall shirtless and drunk.

The Warriors offered him a lifeline with a contract in 2009, with his new wife claiming in a woman's magazine this month that Seymour had left his bad boy days behind him.

Another Rugby League grub/thug exposed. Fancy wanting to blatantly impair and break the leg of a member of your own family.

Only in Rugby League. #-o
One week on from that incident in Hull, Luke has revealed that it was Chase's decision to switch allegiance from New Zealand to England that pushed him over the edge and saw him attempt to blatantly impair his own family member.

Before the test, the Kiwis spoke of targeting Chase. They wanted retribution - to serve a reminder of his heritage. Luke took it on himself to dish out that punishment and in a throwback to the dirty days of rugby league he wanted blood shed.
