bedazzling, especially when they are blowing $60mill a season on the Women's league.
you would think you would be giving it alot of attention.
At least we know what they spend on AFLW. No one knows what NRLW costs.
in comparison to NRL the girls have played at the best rectangle stadiums in the nation
getting around 25k to each event for ORIGIN
NRLW stand alone games numbering in the hundreds at times.....literally 824 attended a game on the weekend.
wookie, exactly what Terry said.

I was stating that the Girls big games are played in our best stadiums.
exactly what you have been annoyed at with the Girls clash in the AFLW v Irish playing at North Sydney.

my point still stands with the amount spent on the league, you would think the best games
would be played in the best stadiums.

Womens SOO have done this and got 25k at each game.

BANG! CRASH! POW! The great sooks has come back with all guns blazing. The usual bias BS and obfuscation is all there. All tinged with anger and grievance. Some things never change lololol!!!

Lets unpack a few things here: Who cares how much the respective women's games cost?? Leeroy was simply making the point that fumble house spend a bomb on it and then treat it like a second class citizen. A very fair point. Sookie of course goes off course as usual to make a pointless point. You'll have to do better than this in your latest comeback sooks.

And crowds??? Leeroy was of course talking about SOO crowds which have been great. Let alone the 1M+ Tv ratings that the fumbling game can only dream of. Poor 'ol sooks then goes into typical sooks mode and cherry picks a stat to reinforce his bias and soothe his giant ego.

Result: A very poor effort by sooks in his return. Please do better sooks.
exactly and correct,

Do not know how Wookie got that so twisted.

would be know where what the AFL currently spend, didn't that figure only come out because it was so alarming..

pretty sure every NRLW side would run at a loss.

what we do know NRLW ratings are a stand out and much higher.
also the NRLW SOO series has become a great money earner..

i do not really have much Positive money earners for the AFLW
crowds are better maybe sponsorship.

The AFL figures have been available annually for the last four years.

what did everyone think of the Aus v Ireland game
the 1st of it's kind in AFL vs another country at actual AFL rules.

for me, i am not sure what it rated or anything,

but for me, in the women's i would have a 3 game series.

and in the future if i would have a 3 game series in IRELAND>

Didn't see it. But I saw the Oz girls won by 50 points. As in all sports a contest is a must if it is to gain and maintain interest. That is why SOO RL is so successful - its a contest every single game every single year. If Oz win every game by 50 it ain't gonna fly. They'll probably persevere with it for a couple of years and then it will just fade away.

I watched the first half before going out last night.

From what I saw, I thought the standard was good. Historic to think how many talented Irish ladies we have over here now to make an international game like this a reality.

Agreed it would be great to see a 3 game series both here and in Ireland. Would also like to see the AFL do more regarding promotion and at the very least ensuring free to air tv coverage going forward.

Lots of Irish fans in the crowd yesterday too was nice to see. Crowd seemed to enjoy the day.
