In a new low for the Australian Fumbling League the crowd at last nights mess booed Isaac Quaynor, the VICTIM of homophobic slurs last year, every time he touched the ball. Yes, the VICTIM of said slurs, not the perpetrator. What the hell type of people do this?????? AFL fans that who.
For background: last year Quaynor was subjected to game long homophobic insults, taunts and harassment by Adelaide player Isaac Rankine. Rankine was rightly suspended for the cowardly grub attacks. So what do Adelaide fans do next time they play?????? Yep. They relentlessly boo the victim of the horrific acts...............no............not the perpertrator.............the actual victim. WTF????????????
AFL crowds previously booed indigenous legend Alan Good out of the game for the crime of being .....ummmm......indigenous. Are they now going to boo Isaac Quaynor out of the game for being a victim FFS?????????
Thoughts AFL fans??????

AFL crowd boos victim of homophobic slurs. What a game!!!
Re: AFL crowd boos victim of homophobic slurs. What a game!!!
A new low for Adelaide - well not new - cause they did it last year as well- what morons - but very glad to see this condemned by all and sundry across the board.
Re: Goodes - I think that was different - he was originally booed for his tactic of playing for free kicks - but it did quickly become about race - as he made it about that. I do agree that once he made it about race then they crowd should have just shut up. But there is a whole thread about that debate.
The booing of Quaynor is unambiguously about he apparently "dobbing" on Rankin - I feel Rankin needs to come out and state something to the effect of knock it off, I was in the wrong, and if you are going to be booing anyone it should be me - stop being a tool. Of course that opens up another pandora's box of booing an indigenous player - but.....
