It disappoints me to say that the suns are having a very disappointing season after a great start .
Some of the local kids are not living up to their initial promise.
Walter can position himself, bundle out opposition players, gets his hands on the ball and then can’t hold the ball….frustrating.
Others show flashes and then fade, both Rowell and Anderson seem to be “out of sorts” and inconsistent.
Ah well there is always next year.
I think the young players coming in this year have been quite good, considering being first year players. And even the newer players like Walter and Reid have done okay - although reid not the same since his return from injury. Walter is the type of forward who takes years to develop - Look at Hawkins at Geelong - many calls for him to be dropped earlier in his career and sent back to the twos- but they persisted stating he needed to learn his craft in the seniors. They just take a long while - and would stick with him over King - who I have criticised for several years as being a lazy forward. He sits back and often waits off the back of packs - which is great if it comes to you but not great overall if it impacts the team connection (as I heard it put recently on TV). Defensive pressure is negligible to nonexistent - and possessions outside kicking for goal are very low. Id have walter over him any day. Even JUH if up and running.

Coach says season 2026 and any chance of a wildcard or finals is now gone. Wow, how far has this club fallen from earlier in the season.

In other news for the Suns, Jed Walter looks set to stay. What about Ben King?

i see his point, he is telling it how it is, but in saying, geez how does this effect the squad.

it could do two things.

Pump them up or send them to rock bottom.
