Gold Coast Suns
A very challenging draw and next few weeks for the Suns starting with Hawthorn on Friday night, An away game against Fremantle in Perth next week, before Collingwood on the Gold Coast, and then an away trip to Adelaide to face the Crows.
Should Suns fans be concerned?
Can the Suns play finals in 2026?

Re: Gold Coast Suns
why is always the coaches fault... He is a great coach who for the pass 3 years now have played there best by far.
Finals with a top 10 they should sneak in..
few had games away, interesting 2nd half of season coming up

Watching the game last week I called it - in that there was something not quite right - there was a poor "vibe" - then this came about the players being off the coach and I thought - hmmmmm that about fits what I was seeing. With the list they have things seem to be not flowing well - Humphries looks down in the dumps - centreline seem to be all about them - I think petracia coming in has possibly upset things a lot - there was a reason he was offside with his team mates in Melbourne. I would put my finger on that.

Re: Gold Coast Suns
legit, i think he is a great coach, and they "they Suns" should be privileged to have him
Titans would love to have him on board
if the Suns flicked him off, i would abandon this club as my 2nd team. (as my adopted city)

Maybe it's nothing but a mid season slump.
Peaked a bit early in the season perhaps and other now know how to counter their strengths.
Not that far off from a win last night but let Hawthorn get some early last quarter goals.
Bring back the Bears.

Re: Gold Coast Suns
Loving the spice and aggression in this Suns vs Pies game. Maynard is in trouble for umpire contact too by the looks of it.
Re: Gold Coast Suns
Was there sat arvo. First thing - couldn’t buy a seat as exhausted right - yet a couple of stands behind goals 3/4 filled ???
Secondly - just my gut from watching combined with my intuition - but I think there is an issue with Petracha - something’s off in that team and thinking it is him. I just note that he seems to not be a team player - I just don’t see his heart in things - he hasn’t bought in - and I think humphries issues are related - Petrachia has taken away his centre circle role - relegated to allow petracia in - pissing off Humphrys and I think a few team mates are with him. Petracia was not seen as a team first man at Melbourne - all about him- was a criticism that flowed - so I’m tho king he has rubbed a few people the wrong way - and he’s not happy either. Himphries never really celebrated a few of his goals - and petracia could be seen screaming for rfs ball on occasion and seemed pissed when not passed to him. So whilst Petracia is a gun - is his inclusion into what was/is a very good midfield, too disrupting ? I mean on paper and even watching them play last year - the midfield was a strength - this year it struggles - but better last night but…. Team cohesion is everything.
