God i love being a Queenslander and i love how this great game is becoming Queensland dominated. We do everything the best.

Only NRL fans seem to care that Australian Rules Football is not an international sport.GlobalRugbyLeague wrote: Sun Sep 07, 2025 1:41 pmSo you have a few extra players in another state of one country lol..
Hardly impressive. Maybe start boasting when you can recruit players from Fiji, England, New Zealand, Samoa, Tonga, Papua New Guinea.
Still a sport that continuously fails to gain any traction in overseas markets![]()
The Melbourne storm still can’t attract any interest from locals from Victoria after 30 yearsGlobalRugbyLeague wrote: Sun Sep 07, 2025 1:41 pmSo you have a few extra players in another state of one country lol..

Not really, soccer fans say the same thing about AFL too. The simple facts are, if no other country likes your code, YOU KNOW IT'S A LEMON. #AFLQuolls2019 wrote: Sun Sep 07, 2025 2:41 pmOnly NRL fans seem to care that Australian Rules Football is not an international sport.GlobalRugbyLeague wrote: Sun Sep 07, 2025 1:41 pmSo you have a few extra players in another state of one country lol..

It is called Australian for a reason…it is Australian.
Personally I prefer it that way…we don’t lose our best to overseas….like is going to happen more to both codes of rugby soon.
And hardly impressive!, just the Suns have used 12 local players this year…add the lions and wow…now the Storm…..arguably the most successful (on the table) NRL club in recent times…..local players this year…..0.
You guys claim that League is a popular game played world wide and some 90% of its professional teams are based in NSW and Queensland half a country! The facts are AFL has half the number of teams as the NRL in Qld. Rugby League has more professional teams than the AFL too. 12 teams in the UK SuperLeague on top of the NRLs 17 teams.
18 teams in AFL in JUST ONE COUNTRY.![]()
Leesds Rhinos Vs ST Helens. Where are those UK AFL teams ?![]()
