Casual fans >> they got to 1 or 2 games a year and watch a few here and there.
there is plenty of them..

go through the city and see the Pubs and clubs
see what people are watching>> its pretty much all Rugby League in QLD.
to say out of 2/3/4/5 million people similar number of people will regularly or casually watch a game on Tv as pay and attend a game, include the expense of travel, tickets, food drinks, as to flicking on the TV or stopping in to the local with mates to watch a game on TV! LMAO!

Believing that is like being an adult Santa Claus still delivers presents on a sled and rain dear every Christmas
 well explain why networks throw it to there alternative channels GEM & Mate

your delusional and think AFL is MASSIVE in all parts of Australia.

I am not going to win this argument.. so good day..
you lot think NRL is massive in All parts of the country also

so people taking time and attending a game costing money and sitting in the elements of the weather will attract the same level of numbers than a casual or fixed viewer who sits at home or heads up to the local bar for some pients of beer

the cost of every thing now days. in my 6 years in Australia things have shot up dramatically, and the 5 or so times ive been to Melbourne the weather has been overcast miserable all times
