so this is where is sucks in QLD - I have two games I want to watch on Sunday yet bascially on at the same time - Collingwood playing and Suns playing. This surely impacts the rating in QLD - for those who would watch two but can only play one - particuarly when it is collingwood with theit high supporter base.
if you look at the SUNS ratings in QLD as a whole, it is very tiny..
they are lucky to crack 20k with no FTA opponent and Free Air to Coverage.

so with Collingwood playing 90mins beforehand, it will have very little difference..
and it may even Help the Suns Figures.. by Fans watching the Collingwood game and enjoying the win with a few beverages.
and carrying that onto the SUNS game after.
so again, more people paid and attended the game than watched it on TV?
we see this with the Swans, Lions and Storm games in their respected home cities. any person that has studied or knows of statics knows that cannot be correct
Yes for the fumbling shitshow

10K at the ground &

5K on TV      :(/ :(/ :(/

every so in a while these teams get a good bump in tv ratings throughout the year. (more than the average low)
And when Finals come this again is increased..

it prooves just the overall popularity of these teams, are mostly casual viewers)
as the hard core fans are quite low.

its a regular occurrence for those teams mentioned, as many or sometimes more people pay to attend a game and make a day of it over than claimed to be watching it on TV in a city of millions of people

any person with half a brain will know it doesn't calculate anywhere near correctly

the storm get similar results in Melbourne also

Wookie,

on the break-down of state by state numbers e.g. AFL ratings for a lions game in Qld, Swans Sydney and Melbourne Storm for Melbourne.
when the data of the ratings are published, where the numbers roughly match people watching the game on TV vs the crowd figure of paid attendances at the match, statically and logically that cannot be correct?

there is plenty of them..

go through the city and see the Pubs and clubs
see what people are watching>> its pretty much all Rugby League in QLD.

to say out of 2/3/4/5 million people similar number of people will regularly or casually watch a game on Tv as pay and attend a game, include the expense of travel, tickets, food drinks, as to flicking on the TV or stopping in to the local with mates to watch a game on TV! LMAO!

its unlikely but possible. One is a survey based figure, and the other is an actual figure.

Maybe in your travels Leroy - certainly not mine. Definetely there are pubs and clubs where nrl is on the bigger screen - but always still then AFL on a screen somewhere. And plenty of pubs where AFL is on the main screen. The Royal in Toowong comes to mind - have both on a big screen. Go to plenty of pubs on Gold Coast, and there are plenty that have AFL on - but more definetely have nrl. Port Douglas - AFL is the main sport up there - the central will have both on as many TVs but if there’s a clash always AFL on big screen.

so a casual or fixed viewer is counted as same travelling to and attending a game! lol

im using the examples of the Storm in Melbourne and AFL teams in the Sydney, Brisbane and Gold Coast regions where the respective codes are the non dominate sport. lol

on basic stastics and numbers it cannot be taken serious
