THE full IMG grading criteria has been revealed as clubs prepare for their push for Super League.

There is much more detail on how clubs will receive points ahead of the dummy grading run in 2024 and then the real thing ahead of the 2025 season.

Much focus has been placed on attendances, for example, with clubs that produce average attendances over 7,500 receiving 2.5 points. Clubs attracting between 7,499 and 3,000 will earn 2 points, but those averaging between 2,999 and 1,500 will only receive 1.5. Anything below 1,500 will be worth just 0.75 points.

US Footy grounds on the way?
From Wiki abridged
Major League Cricket

Major League Cricket (MLC) is a professional Twenty20 cricket league in the United States. Operated by American Cricket Enterprises (ACE) and sanctioned by USA Cricket, it began play on July 13, 2023, with six teams representing major U.S. cities under a single-entity model. The first season is taking place over three weeks at Grand Prairie Stadium in Grand Prairie, Texas, and Church Street Park in Morrisville, North Carolina, concluding on July 30, 2023. In 2021, the development league for MLC, Minor League Cricket (MiLC), completed its inaugural season, which was contested by 27 franchise-based teams.

On November 18, 2020, it was announced that ACE would lease AirHogs Stadium in Grand Prairie, Texas—home of the former Texas AirHogs independent baseball team—and convert it to a cricket-specific facility that will host a Grand Prairie -based team in Major League Cricket.
In March 2022, ACE discussed plans to invest $110 million in eight newly constructed or renovated venues for the league and possible hosting of matches during the 2024 ICC Men's T20 World Cup (which the United States is co-hosting with the West Indies), including the aforementioned Grand Prairie Stadium, Church Street Park in Morrisville, Moosa Stadium in Pearland, Prairie View Cricket Complex in Prairie View, and new sites in Orange County (backed by the Knight Riders), the Santa Clara County Fairgrounds, and Marymoor Park in Redmond, Washington. The renovated venues have a budget of approximately $3 million each, while the three new west coast venues have a budget of $30 million each; ACE stated that the west coast venues would be completed by 2024, and will have a projected capacity of 10,000–20,000.

If I purchased tickets for the original match (Saturday, July 8th), will I have to re-purchase tickets for September 30th?

From the Wolfpack website
2nd game cancelled (thats the first 2 games of the season)
19/7/23

After speaking with all of our team, we have made the difficult decision to cancel Saturday’s match (July 22nd). With the turnover of the last coaching staff and the introduction of our new staff, everyone thought it was best to hold off one more match to keep practicing in order to play our very best for you.

However, we do have some good news: we have confirmed our match against the Whistler Wolves for August 12th at Lamport Stadium. Kickoff is at 6pm.

And, as a thank you for your patience, understanding, and feedback, we have decided to adjust our ticket prices. We heard your concerns about the cost of tickets and we are pleased to announce a special offer for the game: all tickets will be $17.50 (half off!) and include free admission for an accompanying child (15 years old and under). We hope to maintain this pricing structure for the remainder of the season, while still offering a superb gameday experience.

Rugby League in the US seems to have been consolidated, with 4 small leagues under the umbrella of the USARL.

2 divisions of 2 Conferences.
League championship.
Divisional championship.
National Championship.

Western Division

Pacific Coast RL 6 teams

Utah RL 4 Teams

Eastern Division

Florida RL 4 teams

Rugby League United 4 teams.

Season kicked off June 1.

The North American Rugby League is defunct.

The Toronto Wolfpack appear to be still in existence, but have no-one to play.

The USAFL currently has 47 functioning senior men’s teams.

Toronto Wolfpack in bizarre head coach resignation 24 hours after announcing his appointment.

Just less than 24 hours after announcing the head coach appointment of Matt Wyles, the new Toronto Wolfpack boss has today announced his resignation.
The former Super League side confirmed the appointment on Tuesday, with the club set to feature in the Canada Cup with nine fixtures at Lamport Stadium in 2023.
However, the decision has forced the side to postpone Saturday’s home opener against Copperheads.

The Canadian club have not played since their 42-6 win over Washington DC Cavalry in the Canada Cup in September 2021, and are set to face teams later this year from the United States, Jamaica and Canada.

Toronto cancel first game in nearly two years
The club’s new owners, who took over in 2021, stated that the new Wolfpack are ‘completely different club–logistically, financially, and operationally–than the one that was under the former ownership’.
On the sudden departure, the owners commented: “Although we accept and understand the situation, due to Matt’s unexpected departure from the Wolfpack we have had to make the difficult decision to postpone Saturday’s home opener.
“We did not make this decision lightly; we have a fully contracted roster and had planned to announce the team today. We even debated still playing the match. However, we have to be respectful of our players and ensure their safety on the pitch.
“All tickets purchased for the match will be refunded in full.
“As fans, we completely understand your anger, frustration, and disappointment with this announcement. We also understand any cynicism or skepticism you may have going forward.

League One side Cornwall RLFC have folded because of financial issues and have pulled out of League One with immediate effect as a result.
The club, which was formed in 2021, was taken over by Cornish businessman Kenny Stone in November.
But Stone says he is unable to bring in new investors to help fund them going forward.
Stone took over from a consortium led by Canadian owner Eric Perez with the aim of making it a community-based club.

But their record home loss - a 78-6 defeat by Whitehaven at Penryn - has proved to be their last match.
The news comes as Super League side Salford struggle with ongoing financial issues, which has seen the club lose a host of players and win just one game so far this season.
"The club's current ownership group, who gained control of Cornwall RLFC back in November, immediately sought further investment to try and stabilise the club and to grow the game of rugby league in the Duchy, through a professional club," a statement on Cornwall's website read.
"Significant progress was made with potential overseas investors to achieve this although sadly, due the current uncertainties in the United States of America, this has not been possible.
"The club have subsequently explored other avenues to secure required funding, but these have been extensively exhausted, leaving Cornwall RLFC with no option other than to withdraw immediately.
"Cornwall RLFC would like to place on record its thanks to the club's players, coaching staff, officials, sponsors and fans for their unwavering support over the past four years."
