Re: Footy TV Ratings - 2025
Yeah we have figures from last year now - but trying to do some weird calculations based on last years data as a percentage of FTA etc - as to how a “game” rated this year is a stretch - not saying you do that - just seem it done.

I have no doubt the NRL is maintaining its significant lead over the fumbling mess on STV fwedFred wrote: Sat May 03, 2025 2:33 pmYeah we have figures from last year now - but trying to do some weird calculations based on last years data as a percentage of FTA etc - as to how a “game” rated this year is a stretch - not saying you do that - just seem it done.
the NRL's FTA ratings are .... up
STV would be too
the NRL is going from strength to strength in every metric there is
the fumbling game simply cannot claim the same

Re: Footy TV Ratings - 2025
ratings 2024 (FOX GROUP) add 16% to total. ( you get a figure ) next question is how much more ( few percent maybe)Fred wrote: Sat May 03, 2025 2:33 pmYeah we have figures from last year now - but trying to do some weird calculations based on last years data as a percentage of FTA etc - as to how a “game” rated this year is a stretch - not saying you do that - just seem it done.
the ratings are not going to be that much bigger. we already have a playing field
FOX GROUP 397,000 plus 16% released by Fox on numbers (your got 90% of the figure)

always a guess and approx etc etc .. (until you get the final figure at end of year.
Wookie does it every year and so do many other Tv ratings analysis and they are generally within a few percent
through the entire year of tv ratings

Yeah - in the wash up - we will get actual figures - which are, at the end of the day, estimates anyway based on inferential statistics lol. The irony.

Most reporting in the media sources from me on this if there arent official figures.leeroy*NRL* wrote: Sat May 03, 2025 2:51 pm

I didnt do it last year because we had no STB data to even guess at until round 23.
And 2023s estimates were way off with streaming data, I wasnt happy with how the figures processed.
This year we've got no data at all from fox whether streaming or STB, other than a 16% rise in AFL viewership.
I mean, you can also note that Oztam is a ratings survey, which is 12,000 homes representing 20 million people. Roy Morgans march polling data that gave the lead to the AFL interviewed 64,994 people for its results.

Re: Footy TV Ratings - 2025
9now, 7plus and tenplay are the BVOD stats in VOZ. Fox streaming data was through oztam, but not VOZ.leeroy*NRL* wrote: Sat May 03, 2025 3:32 pmlol yeahFred wrote: Sat May 03, 2025 2:58 pmYeah - in the wash up - we will get actual figures - which are, at the end of the day, estimates anyway based on inferential statistics lol. Re: Footy TV Ratings - 2025
308K on FTA yesterday ( NSW & QLD only ) for the 1st Saturday game , Ch 9 are contracted to cover ... 3... NRL games a week & Thursday was an origin game.
So they got another game & with the election on last night , they got the 3pm game.
not bad ratings , Im not sure many would have known it was even on , on ch 9
