Rugby Leagues historical show piece to be revived

Huge news on the international scene with Rugby Leagues Ashes to be revived after a 22 year hiatus



The Australian Kangaroos will tour the UK at the end of the 2025 season taking on England in a 3 test series , the first time they have done this since 2003. Prior to this they had toured every 4 years since 1908 .. only breaking for the 2 world wars 1914-1918 & 1939-1945.
The English were due to tour here at the end of next year & Australia go there in 2027 , but recent discussions have reversed the tours & the poms will come here in 2027 instead & that will mark the first Lions tour here in 35 years.

Wembley , Old Trafford & Etihad stadium are being touted as potential venues for the 3 tests in England that are expected to draw enormous attention.
so much of our games heritage is tied up in the history of these tours & RL fans in both countries are bursting with excitement at the news.
