Well we all saw AFL's embarrassing attempts in New Zealand & China. Both were total flops.

I recently watched a replay of the 1985 Challenge cup final between Wigan & Hull FC , watched it live on TV here in aus as a kid because it had some aussies in it
Wigan had Brett Kenny & Hull had Peter Sterling playing
Wigan won 28-24 , a thriller in front of 99,801 at Wembley Stadium

the fumblers would knock their grannies in front a bullet train to get a fraction of that action outside of Footswood or Collingray     :(/ :(/ :(/

That would have been massive, Wembley is a good venue.

The Brits would never get into AFL, most English I've met think it's a ridiculous game.
