Would it be the International Federation of Touch as the controlling body?

I would see partnerships as important but see RL and TF as distinctly different as RU and RL - or RU and TF for that matter. All have similarities but I often get called out when I say Rugby when referring to Rugby League.

Touch football in Australia is owned & controlled by the NRL
this article from 11 years ago says the NRL-TFA is a " partnership ".. it isn't .. while TFA has some autonomy, it is financed by the NRL & answers to it
Touch football is a uniquely Australian sport invented by the South Sydney Rugby league football club as a training tool to keep players fit without contact.
your take that it is different from RL is a typical fumbler take on most things .. completely wrong
It is RL without tackling kicking or scrums
Tag is RL without tackling or scrums , kicking is allowed after the 5th play the ball, as long as the kick does not go higher then average shoulder height.
Rugby League & its variants have more then 2 million " participants " in Australia
& more then 1 million registered club players
most played sport in our nation
