Ginats coach Alan King dropping a few truth bombs here. Very unusual for the fumbling crowd to actually tell the truth. But good on him.

A few takes from the article: Kingy never gave any thought to fumbling in Sydney until he moved here. Now he sees the massive problems. Kids participation rates have tanked. Ginats crowds are pathetic. No one is watching the mess on TV. No one talks about it.

He whinges about the Swanettes advantages. But correctly states they run off the white rich expatriate Vics living in the wealthy eastern suburbs. Correct.

Weirdly though Kingy's answer is to put the Ginats on billboards all through western Sydney lololololol!!!! And throw millions of $$$$$$ at it. News for Kingy..........it's already been done. It didn't work. No one in the educated suburbs of Sydney town wants a bar of the unskilled rabble.

Plaudits to Kingy for some reality bites. But ya gotta feel for the bloke when he says the mess can still succeed in Australia's greatest city lolololol. Apart from a few wealthy enclaves in the east housing the Vic expats the fumbling game is seen as a foreign mess.

It shocks them doesn't it , all snug in their little bubble down there in their singlets & tight shorts , they come up to Western Sydney & they can't fathom how irrelevant their sport is , its just not on the radar & nothing is changing.

The gnats , given every opportunity to brain wash their market with on field success through unfair & un earnt advantages with the salary cap & draft ( 2nd most successful team in the afl in the last 10 years ) have gone .. backward... in popularity

what did you guys think about his comment that Western Sydney is the last frontier?

Based on our country, it is really the last untapped area the AFL can tap into. There are 2.5 million people in western Sydney alone. There aren't too many opportunities like that anywhere else, where the market isn't already saturated by AFL. It is a great opportunity, but there has to be a lot of time and effort invested.
