And that is why the Thugby is angry and upset with Channel 9. But they can not see that it is their actual code that is dragging them backwards.

Ch 9 telecast the most watched sport in Australia you dribbling halfwit
Ch 7 cover the silver medalists
if Ch 7 are the numb one network in Aust
it has absolutely nothing to do with the fumbling Turkeys from Vicdumbia

Over 9.6 million Australians now support an AFL club, up over 680,000 on a year ago.

Re: Fight Club - Football TV Ratings (AFL vs NRL)
shame the NRL caved to Ch 9s insistence this week & put the prelim involving the Warriors on at a TV friendly time for Aussies
it'll cost us , with reports up to 1.5 Mill would have tuned in from the land of the long white cloud for this game , but now that it won't finish over there til about midnight , many young kiwis will be in bed.
still
1 mill will tune in anyway for ... well they're not us NZ's fave team atm , its a national sporting movement
giving the NRL 3 million sets of eyeballs for that final
wow
just wow

Everyone know that Thugby fans watch their bum sniffing game at home on the lounge chair. It frightens you that there are more eyeballs watching AFL than the bum sniffing game in Australia.

The most watched sport in Australia yr after yr is RL
Add ratings & crowds it’s still RL easily .
So to correct your brainwashed thinking
There’s more eyeballs watching RL than Abortionball .
Thems the facts

Re: Fight Club - Football TV Ratings (AFL vs NRL)
Another thumping win for the AFL over the NRL.
100,000 AFL viewers in Sydney for the Giants compared to 33,000 NRL viewers for the Storm in Melbourne. Brisbane tv ratings very encouraging for the AFL too with no local team involved.
A massive gap and win for the AFL on Fox as well.

Interesting to look at the age demographics too.
Brisbane very encouraging again for the AFL up against the NRL, even winning the 18-49 old demographic.

TV.Cynic
Last night’s AFL final scored the first +1 million rating of the week and helped Seven to its highest Friday night share in over two years. The 45.5% share was up two points on the previous Friday and featured a massive 569,000 in Melbourne alone. The audience for the one-point win by Collingwood compared to 819,000 for the equivalent game of 2022. The game received main channel coverage along the east coast with around 100k tuning in in both Sydney and Brisbane.
The Rugby League Final on Nine also on the main channel in eastern markets, by contrast to the close result in the AFL saw a blow out result and drew almost 500,000 to see the Panthers progress. That was down from 745,000 the previous year on a night when it was the only footy on TV. The number was up slightly on the previous week and saw Nine’s share steady week-on-week.

Re: Fight Club - Football TV Ratings (AFL vs NRL)
the NRL's numbers from last night were poor , no bones about it
around 1.5 Mill
but Penrith are one of the smaller Sydney clubs , the game was over at half time & the smashing handed out to the Storm ... entirely predicted.
some kiwi viwers of course but it was a 10pm start over there & no Wahs
so maybe 1.7 Mill
the Friday night prelim last year between Sydney powerhouse Parramatta & Nth Qld rated over 2 million as a comparison
tonights NRL will shatter records

Goo Goo and Ga Ga. Your jealousy is so strong, lol. Suck up the greatness of the AFL! Soon, QLD will be an AFL state!
