Its not a zero sum equation. If the state wanted to fund homeless programs they would, with or without the stadium. And the Federal and AFL money wouldnt be there for that.

Tasmania is not a dictatorship, but AFL clearly are! They are ripping off the Tasmanian government big time.
They basically want the taxpayer to fund all stadium costs with huge penalties for any delays or funding problems.
As well as 12 million a year for 12 years in start up costs.

This is such a bad look for the AFL. They can't even fund their own team in an AFL heartland state. This why there is a huge protest. People have realized how bad a deal this is with the AFL.
