The californian rugby league is now operating as the (USA) Championship Rugby League.
With 6 out of 9 listed teams participating in 2023. 3 previous teams are now defunct.


The AMNRL, USARL and NARl are all very quiet.
As are the Toronto Wolfpack.

Why would you play it on an oval - doesn’t lend itself to good viewing

Yes, but needs to be on Rl rectangles - not afl ovals.

it most certainty does.
the atmosphere and viewing experience declines a fair bit when the game is played on an Oval.
