Great start for England. Their good performance now ensures a great tournament as they should at least make the semi finals. And on their form today they could easily get to the final.

Good stuff!!!!

I see Samoa is in the final - saw a Samoan flag out a car window last night. Who else has a little bit of wanting Samoa to win? got to love an underdog - and Aussies winning was to be expected somewhat and a loss will mean nothing really to them - however, a win for Samoa would mean so much to their country and supporters.

Yep. The dream final would have been Australia V England. Particularly as the WC is in England. It would have given the game a big boost over there.

Having said that the reaction to Samoa making the final has been phenomenal. There have been scenes on TV of Samoan's going crazy in Samoa, NZ, Australia, England and incredibly Salt Lake City USA. I mean who woulda known............Salt Lake City!!! And apparently there are parades planned in other US states for WC final. Incredible stuff!!!!

Just saw the The Rock! A 5 minute psyche up speech for the Samoan side. And the local Samoan community is having a parade down the main street of Wagga today for the WC final. Two things I thought I'd never see.

Yes, I would say a success by anyone's measure. For me, Samoa getting to the final added a little something.
