Re: Fight Club - Football TV Ratings
It seems obvious why the AFL is worth so much more than the NRL to broadcasters. Big wins for the AFL on FTA and STV again last night.
In Sydney the AFL, on secondary channel 7mate, had nearly double the viewers in Melbourne for the prime time NRL final live on Channel 9.

66,000 for the Melbourne Storm vs Canberra Raiders on Channel 9 in Melbourne. It was diabolical for Channel 9 in Melbourne afterwards though, with just 16,000 viewers for Cronulla vs North Queensland on the primary channel. Do you think Channel 9 Melbourne will persist with prime time NRL Finals in Melbourne on the primary channel, particularly with the Storm now out of the finals?

Geez beatup, Rugby League really is running around wild in the vacant spaces of your mind pal. You bring it up every day. Every post. Everywhere. Every time.
I suggest you move to one of the bubble dwelling states to try and cleanse your mind. You can immerse yourself in fumble fantasies there without the reality of Australia's most watched sport tormenting your life.
And re RL finals ratings: They're looking great. And by years end RL will once again be the most watched sport in the land. Facts are your friend beatup.

Time will tell bummy. The truth will eventually be revealed. And may I suggest putting your hubris away or a while. It's very unedifying.

Friday night , no QLD team playing in the NRL and the lions only managed 68k. C7 doest even have have streaming like C9, and the lions are miles off being the best rating subscription tv side

Those broadcast rights certainly show which is the most valuable sports TV product - by a long long way; yet again.

Time has told. We have 40 years of evidence to back it up - the last time rugby league earnt more was in 1992. You've been in denial for way too long.Terry wrote: Sun Sep 11, 2022 11:56 am

Haha!! On a broadcast time value RL has more than held its own. As it stands now no one knows for the sure the true value of either current deal. And we all know gilty and fumblehouse are far looser with the truth than Peter The Great!!!
