It means a bit more than jack shit! looking back 10 years our rights contract has improved by almost 100% . Not bad for an organisation that has 1/3of the advertising time.

I can see though how the 10m figure would be embarrassing but hey look at the bright side , we could include origin, which was played during the season and then it would 20million Wow!
Its embarasasing that even when it includes Origin...you still cant get the same rights fees the AFL do.

If we could disable emojis, the NRL posts would only take up 1/4 of the space they do now…at the present time they are just a waste of space.

That the AFL has consistently got more for its rights is not even up for debate.

And nothing has been funnier than watching league fans pick and choose which anonymous media reports they choose to believe.

Sure thing bummy. But of course when you break down the numbers proportionately to respective broadcast lengths, and advertisement time availability, RL is easily the most valuable sport on Australian TV.

You know this but your raging bias and fumble fever will preclude you from ever admitting it. Such is the life of the fumble bubble dwelling zealot.

Fascinating how you guys spin context when you want. I mean if we trot out hours watched, then the AFL is by FAR the most watched professional sport in the country, but then that doesnt suit your narrative. Only the raw numbers do.

You can break it down to bring whatever result you want to manufacture so you can sleep easier. Whatever way you spin it - Overall Rugby League is not being paid the most of any Australian sport, even with Origin, Rep Fixtures and NZ. It is thus not the most valuable. Thats the bottom line.

It’s my opinion that they accomplish the opposite..

But as long as you think they have another purpose……..
