Who listens to the radio?

Post by Quolls2019 »

https://radiotoday.com.au/triple-m-foot ... -kick-off/

Triple M’s AFL coverage and expert commentary across Melbourne, Adelaide and Perth reported a cumulative audience of 626,000, while Triple M’s NRL coverage and commentary by the best has an audience of 471,000 across Sydney and Brisbane.
There are lies, damn lies and then there are ratings.
Rugby league, Australias most popular game in some of North Eastern Australia.

I would imagine people, me included, listen in their cars when they can't get near a TV.

so the 626k and 471k Is the weekly figures for the triple M coverage of the game for both codes..

seems like good figures.. how many games do they actually cover

No idea…don't listen to the footy on radio, my wife has the car radio cemented on a station that plays music to die by (not for).

As I was reading this article I though it sounded as dodgy as a two bob watch. Then I read the comments. The first says, "Is this a serious journalism piece or a re-pasting of a publicity output by SCA?".

Incredibly the 2nd was from the Editor of the piece. You know, the person who is in charge of the content of the publication. And what did the editor reply, "Jon, fair point. We have made some edits to the SCA release."

So there ya have it. The editor agrees that it wasn't serious journalism. He agrees it was just a re-pasting of promo material. To the extent they were forced to make some edits to the piece. I.E. the original piece was full of BS.

Conclusion: You can safely tear up this Goebbels like propaganda and throw it in the bin where it belongs.

Ahh terrybull,
As there is crap flying all around this site, from all directions, it was a suitable post.
But again I do not listen to footy on the radio…..before live tv broadcasts….all the time, but sometimes technology is a wonderful thing…
