Dodgy as with the thousands and thousands of freebie memberships from 2020 and 2021, plus all the free memberships for anyone playing rugby league in Victoria.
about 20,000 new memberships in 2022, an increase of 66% on 2021
wow
just wow
& what a gesture by the Storm for their loyal fans who stuck with them during covid , the gesture was seen as overtly generous & Melbournians have responded in their thousands to sign up to this wonderful club , a wealthy club ofc can afford to to this
unlike the penny pinching broke aflol clubs in Melb
what thieving scum
Covid is still effecting both codes, well most sports and entertainment recreations, in many different ways,
Next season (and 22/23 season for some sports) will give a clearer picture.
This year with both the AFL and NRL there appear to have many different memberships that they count, which may not give a true indication of full membership.
What memberships should be counted.
Well full membership should be 1, and perhaps part memberships should be counted as such, or a ratio of full membership.
And perhaps “gold” or elite membership, including the sponsors boxes etc worth more according to the cost of a general membership and free memberships 0.
There are lies, damn lies and then there are ratings.
Rugby league, Australias most popular game in some of North Eastern Australia.
