What a Game
How good was that. Pies come back from nowhere to win - but more importantly, to deny Carlton a spot in the finals ….. oh yeah. And what a crowd!!!!!

Re: What a Game
It did in 1977 too - not the first time the Blues have stiffed in the last round after being in the top whatever (it was five then) and then stuffing it.

Re: What a Game
How was the crowd - imagine having crowds and atmosphere like that most weeks. Like having a SoO crowd/atmosphere almost every week - it’s good to be a Pies supporter. The last few rounds have been pretty good with numerous large crowds. Lions was huge too this week - putti about the result.
Hey Wookie -

Simply doesn’t get better than beating Carlton by 1 point - oh wait - yes it does - bearing Carlton by 1 point and denying them a finals spot lol.
A Pies win, a roast dinner - may go for the trifecta tonight lol….

There are lies, damn lies and then there are ratings.
Rugby league, Australias most popular game in some of North Eastern Australia.

Re: What a Game
Such a heartbreaking way to end the season. Sorry Wookie.
I hate Collingwood too.
"One in every 24 Australians is now a member of an AFL club, a sign that the national reach of Australian football has never been greater," League CEO Gillon McLachlan said.

Re: What a Game
My brother likes a bet on the Football Not a mad punter ..pretty restrained
Bets on Either code .
Usually has one bet 1-2K for the season .
He wins some he loses some .
This yr the stars aligned ..as they do sometimes
Start of season he had $1500 on Carlton @ $3 to make the 8
Was going great for first half of season .
Soon as things started to look a tad shaky he plonked $1K on them @ $4.50 to miss the 8 .
Outlay $2.5K
Collect no matter what .$4.5K
Profit. $2K
If you have restraint then punting can pay off more than betting on everything .

every since was glad they missed the 8 good riddance.
if they could kick straight they prob would of made the top 4
