Fattest NRL player of all time
Withour a doubt it would have to be Artie Beetson aka Mr Tubbs Blobson followed by a close second Tommy Raudonikis aka Mr Westie Bogan

During his playing days Artie Beetson was pretty lean from what ive seen. Sam Backo on the other hand was always a big lad.
Its pretty impressive that the big men of league still do what it takes to get through a game.
I wonder if we flip this around a little and also have a look at who the most anorexic looking AFL players are...? I know Josh Fraser looks like a twig and would be snapped in four places if he ran anywhere near big Sam Backo. Does he have an eating disorder?

Artie when he came to Balmain from Roma in 1965 wasn't 100kgsKing-Eliagh wrote:During his playing days Artie Beetson was pretty lean from what ive seen. Sam Backo on the other hand was always a big lad.

but he ended up a bit bigger then that by the time he played his last season for Parramatta in 1980
a clever ball playing forward he was quite quick over 30m
& of course if he caught an opponent .. or one was caught for him
a damaging defender
imagine one of these stick insect boggerball players having Artie running at them at full pace
a mop & bucket would be needed to clean up the pile of cr@p that would have exited said boggerball player
