That was my assumption that the AFL would have to dip into the Loan they have (which is not quoted how much)

the Loan i talk of is the Stadium Purchase and Covid assistance..
as i believe but not 100% certain they have enough to pay for it Before the end of MAY this year.

I think it is a great initiative - not sure why they do it as traditionally, crowds have not been an issue - and it has been a thing for a while now. Maybe July is traditionally a lower month so encouraging more families to go - with a paying adult?? Who knows, but a good initiative.

couldn't hurt the NRL to do it - but as the above is an AFL directive - can the same be done with NRL clubs who decide their own prices at their stadium/games - don't they? Happy to be corrected.

The NRL isn't in the grip of a cwowd cwsis like the derps & misses is dopey , with our attendances tracking as just about on par with pre covid levels & if we had the warriors playing at home & a normal amount of wet matches instead of the wettest autumn in recorded history ... we'd be ahead of 2019
