AFL has always been known for pulling numbers out of their arses with player numbers.

Remember all the hype about interest in China & New Zealand. Yet they they are no longer playing games there.

Then you had all this talk that GWS are the most supported club in Western Sydney and AFL was going gang busters there.
Hasn't happened.

All fake news.
Do have no comprehension or do you just play on being ignorant?

This was not the AFL saying or reporting this, but from people involved in both codes in the USA.
Is your anti AFL stance deliberate and mischievous, or just plain stupid and obsessive.
Birchgrove oval part 2 :(/ :(/ :(/

On a side note doesn't R.L have 2 or 3 seperate competitions in the USA. Though I suppose its a bit like over here, Any one standing on a street corner at the right time of day could be a honoured with a lifetime AFL contract.

From a previous post related to your side note.

“ No 1. That’s not my opinion, that’s the opinion of someone trying to organise rugby league in the USA…you know someone who is actually there…..and doing the stuff….so I would assume they know what’s going on there…..where they are…
No 2. Yes I know there is more than one organisation trying to have their own comps in the USA. Many? I would like a definition of that one. The attempt to start a professional league via the NARl has gone very quite…most teams have dropped out. They are meant to start on May 21 with a 6 team comp, but there has been little internet updates/news since January.
No 3. The USARL has been very quiet lately, a couple of references to their women’s rep side, but not much else.
No 4. The Californian Rugby League was very active, but since September 21, when they suspended some teams indefinitely, they too have been very quiet.
5. It is very hard to gauge exactly what’s going on wth rugby league there at the moment.
6. Australian Rules Comps in the USA do appear to be a bit more active, albeit will always be a minor, curiosity sport.”

On another side note, the Australian Rules games scheduled for play, this weekend, in the USA.

https://usafl.com/game-results

And how many rugby league games are scheduled in the US…..this year.
There are lies, damn lies and then there are ratings.

Why are you using an AFL site as some sort of proof?
As has been said ...anyone outside the afl bubble know that it's likely to be bullshit .
They have a long history of talking absolute shit here & over seas.
There was a bloke called Clarkey who used to be on sites talking about how popular afl was in England .
How it was introduced into schools & was growing rapidly in popularity .
Turns out he was just another Aflol bullshitter.
As is the case with expats who try to start comps in other countries .
Talk it up
Talk it up .
Reality. Lol

NRL is the most watched sport in Australia  so if you combine that number with the difference between viewers watching league/AFL, in the UK it becomes one mega gigantic number

It make the mind boggle just thinking about the difference

And then if you added the numbers for NZ, Canada, USA and Pacific
