Maybe, but I like to look at these ratings when no Sydney team playing as I think this gives a good measure of how the sport is doing in Sydney and Brisbane. I think the rating from Friday night as pretty good.
so

if either of the NRL finals gets to 39K in Melb ( similar size city to Sydney ) with no storm playing
we will say the NRL is doing as well down there then ?

yes me too, can almost guarantee it will be the best game of the week.

I am on the Titans Bandwagon. but am not highly confident that is for sure.
haha

WOW
what a saturday of finals in the NRL

the Tits stood up
had a red hot crack & nearly pinched it

just a great game

then the intensity in the 2nd game was spell binding
you couldn't take your eyes off it
The Bunnies have thrown the finals script out with that amazing effort ... its all over the place now with hypotheticals

I love this time of year
the NRL just continues to deliver

Will make it interesting with Penrith Storm grand final now not possible which would have been the best scenario. Will be hoping Penrith lose again next week as they are the only real challenge to Storm. Although it is cut throat and anything can happen on the day. Regardless, Storm are the best side of this year once more. Can’t take that away. Be good to win the finals comp though.

So who will win week 2 of finals ? Afl had a shocker teo games. No Storm next week to draw on Melbourne viewers…. But no afl either so Melbourne viewers may venture across. Will be interesting. A good test as to how well the NRL are doing in Victoria. Be good to compare Melbourne numbers yo what afl got in Brisbane and Sydney. Putty fox don’t do a break down by state.

If that’s what the afl final for week 2 in Sydney got than you would say they are on par with one another ratings wise obviously… and I think they reflects how the code is going in that state sure. Whether 39000 is good ? But would show they are doing the same I think..or at least a measure. And if it is a lot more for one or the other then they would be doing better… obviously.

So with the Storm Winning...

Storm PRE LIM will be beamed into melbourne the Friday night (the day before AFL GF )

and it sets up and all sydney PRE LIM for Saturday night in the NRL
The Storm should get very good Melbourne numbers for that one. However unfortunately they are so good it's becoming boring and repetitive. I started channel surfing after 20 minutes last night. Their domination is turning off not just casual fans but hard core ones. The only hope left for stellar ratings is if Parra or Souths can get on a roll. Can't see it happening though!!!!
Yes Friday Night i am expecting over 200k in Melbourne for PRE LIM>> even with a media blackout in the state. like they normally do.

Souths v Manly / Chooks That will rate

Watched Storm … great game… half time. Afl all over at quarter time it seemed
your quote (that it was a good game )

it was far from it, unless you are a Storm Supporter.

if Manly supporter you are watching going Gee we just did not turn up

As a storm follower it was a great game. Storm just simply smashed Manly. Didn’t allow Manly to turn up… nullified their superstar … whatshisname….. lol

and if your a neutral supporter, this was far from the contest you wanted to watch..
i gave up at half time.
As a storm follower … it was a great game. Storm dominated from start. Didn’t allow Manly to get going. That’s what champions team do.
you said it right there.. dominated from the start..
pretty much turns off many viewers.. cause you know 100% which way it is going..
does not make it interesting.. it makes it predictable
