Metro 698,000(47,412,33,92,

The last Saturday night of the regular NRL season featured South Sydney taking the points for the Nine metro audience of 243,000. Most of them were in Sydney of course – 177,000 – with 49,000 in Brisbane.
The AFL semi-final meeting of the Western Bulldogs and Brisbane Lions lived up to pre-match expectations with the scores level in the final minutes of the game. The Bulldogs managed to score a point and then hang on to the narrowest of victories giving them a place in a preliminary final next weekend against Port Adelaide. The metro audience was 835,000 with 471,000 in Melbourne. The audience in Brisbane was 88,000, almost double the number watching the NRL on Nine.

88K for an area with a population over 3 million aint anything to piss your pants about
the Titans ... thats right
the Titans will double that number next Sat night in Brissie , may even crack 200K
& they are the 3rd most popular QLD NRL side in QLD

Re: Finals Ratings
You do know the NRL is the dominant code on Brisbane. I would think a game to determine who made the 8 would or should rate 200,000 in Brisbane.

Re: Finals Ratings

the wions can't get near the 3rd most popular NRL side in QLD for ratings when they're both in finals

Re: Finals Ratings
I wouldn’t say the Titans are the 3rd most popular. I’d say there would be other NRL teams in the NRL that are in Qld that are more popular than Titans. But I get what you mean.truthbomber wrote: ↑Tue Sep 07, 2021 6:35 amand what do you think i was eluding to there dummy ?

And I agree. Whilst the Lions are doing well in garnering support you are right to say let’s not get carried away; they have a long way to go and RL is still miles out in front despite the on-roads made. So that is why I was interested in what you thought would be a sufficient ratings figure for the Lions.

Re: Finals Ratings
Hey Beaussie
Could you give us a table comparing the finals of each code (week 1 v Week 1).
Also, the AFL GF - being up against the NRL prelim? Should be interesting. Do you think the NRL may move it so it isn't. This isn't an NRL V AFL thing - I would expect the AFL to move a prelim if up against an NRL GF too.

the storm will play friday if they make it
the saturday prelim will be played as per usual at 7.50pm
the derps & misses GF will miss out on probably 200 to 250K casual viewers in NSW & QLD as a result of playing their GF on Saturday night who will watch the NRL instead

Re: Finals Ratings
all we need to know is the singletball finals are 500K down on 2020 for their first 6 finals & i am confident it'll be another 500K down for the last 3
