Storm players may miss Origin
I read today that due to Covid Storm players may miss Origin.
https://apple.news/A3NYPqn_ERSuOi7qdAFU7uQ
Now, as a casual follower of the Storm I’m thinking “great” . My team are not going to be impacted by the Origin game. This is a good thing. But then I see the Storm are working actively to try and get their players up ?????? Now, if Ado Carr gets a season ending injury how is the Storm going to feel that their star player is out for a game that means nothing to the team or their supporters? Add into that that it is a dead rubber!!! Should Origin take orecieenfs over a teams chances to win the premiership ?

no, Players playing in big games is good for the club, that is why all clubs allow access..
Freddy, NRL has 3 tiers of footy it is not all about Club footy..
i know the pass year there has been no International matches due to covid. (which has sucked)
stick to your casual following of the "storm"

Storm have won it plenty of times with 4 to 5 stars in Origin per yearFred wrote: Sun Jul 11, 2021 7:26 pmI disagree. I want my club to win first and foremost . But guess we don’t have to agree I guess.
your comment is invalid.

In fact it goes against what you are saying..Fred wrote: Sun Jul 11, 2021 7:26 pmI disagree. I want my club to win first and foremost . But guess we don’t have to agree I guess.
it is proven that the clubs with the most stars in Origin or have origin success
go deeper into the Premiership season finals etc..
injuries are not as common as you think in Origin for ending there seasons)
It has been said no club has won the premiership without providing a
Fullback
Half
5/8
hooker
to the origin arena

That argument is a bit circular isn't it - Origin takes the best players - therefore naturally the best teams will have the best players and more of them.

your players are playing at the high level of intensity and are surrounded by Australian Players.
the experience you earn and knowledge you take out of it, is huge..
most players go on to be better players..

I get that - but I think it robs teams of players - some benefit I agree - but really - how much from three games? Does it outweigh the negatives to a club. If a star player gets injured in SoO or banned that really has an impact on the club - could mean missing a final - or losing a grand final - is that worth it. You obviously think so, I do not.

So you have a hypothetical - your SoO team wins but it costs your NRL team a Grand Final? Which would you prefer. Remember, it's a hypothetical - one or the other? I asked a friend that - who is a massive Broncos supporter and SoO fan - she said SoO any.

ORIGIN to NRL Players means alot and brings in alot of money.
Clubs benefit for providing players to ORIGIN> in some cases you will get some injuries.
but the benefits out weigh the negatives

After my Team St George won in 2010 It was Brilliant unreal i say.
But i was craving Origin Success NSW was craving Origin Success.
and if you told me in 2014 who would you pick NSW BLUES Victory or St George Win
I would of picked NSW BLUES Victory .. and that year they won and it was Absolutely one of the best things in sport i have witnessed
4.2million also thought the same,
So to answer your question it all depends on the year the drought etc etc
This Year i would take a St George Win.
but footy does not feel the same in covid years..
